  1. med surge floor more stressful than ER?

    Yeah, I wan wondering the same thing. I am a new grad RN and I am trying to get into a residency program before I start on my own as a working new grad nurse. I wasnt sure whether to start in DOU or MedSurg. I know myself, I am not the fastest at passing meds as a LVN, but I want to be able to pick a unit that will be a easier transition. I wanted to do either DOU or Medsurg, but looking at all the above comments, I'm thinking my first choice should be DOU. Second Medsurg, and third Medsurg/tele (im not the best with deciphering the heart rhythms, LOL).
