  1. Honestly, that's what sort of drew me away and I wanted to discuss with other people. Traditional nursing such as Sac State is only $20,000 while ELMSN was $120,000 and you're doing the same job as a nurse with the advantage of possibly moving into management. Good luck with other programs and applications! Congratulations! Did you hear back today? You must've been the lucky runner up ? good luck on your journey!
  2. Good luck on whatever you decide to do next! Can I ask what called for the sudden withdrawal so close to the program start or is it personal?
  3. Congratulations ! I was looking into their program ? very happy for you. I have a question, do they absolutely require an academic recommendation for the letters of recommendation? I haven't been to college in over two years.
  4. The one thing that makes me hesitant about the program and I'm looking for some insight on, we get our entry level MSN, meaning we work entry level positions for the Masters degree or as an RN... we would still need to apply for an NP Program or do another program to actually be working at a masters level? I want to be an RN, but IDK how I feel about paying a masters degree price to only work as an RN and entry level positions. can anyone provide anymore clarification or how we would work with our degree? I'm considering other MEPN programs because I already have two bachelors and didn't want to do BSN, but I'm considering it.
  5. I read online that's it's year round. So starts Summer 2024, Fall 24, Winter 24, Spring 25, Summer 25, Fall 25 and Winter 25 I believe. It's roughly 16 months?
  6. I am on the waitlist for the program, but I've been looking into other programs and the ABSN route which is much cheaper than MEPN and I considered going to an RN to MSN program later after being an RN. I've been considering a lot of routes if anyone has any other suggestions, I am open for it
  7. Congratulations! When did you hear back from them? Around what time? also, if you don't mind me asking, which program did you end up choosing?
  8. It looks like it. Most schools cater to their own because they want people to stay local afterwards and serve the community they went to school in. I did notice from the previous cohort they did have out of state individuals as well!
  9. Hi! So they don't give us a ballpark of how many people were accepted and how many are waitlisted. It's mainly a guessing and waiting game right now ?
  10. I think the waitlist is comprised of about 20 individuals. Based on the amount of people who replied that they were waitlisted.
  11. Has anyone heard anything?besides the email confirmation for the waitlist? If y'all get off the list, please let us know!
  12. No. I didn't get a confirmation. I think they will go through and add the individuals? IDK. The process is nerve racking ?
  13. How often are students in class during the program? A. Students can expect to be on campus full-time for the duration of the program in preparation for licensure. Most courses are held Monday through Friday; however, some courses and clinical experiences are held on evenings and weekends. Q: What are clinical experiences like? A: Clinical placements take place every quarter, about 15 hours per week. Students complete clinical experiences in acute and ambulatory care, the home and community. Students also participate in simulation (including high- and mid-fidelity patient simulators, standardized patients, task trainers and computer simulations). Over six quarters, students complete 1,080 clinical practicum hours.
  14. It looks like based on everything I read, this is a full time program because it is accelerated in a sense. I'll require 8-5pm days and then studying. They move very fast paced. I wasn't able to find much more online.
