  1. Hii, I applied for January 15th deadline and I heard back January 29th, despite admissions telling me I would know in mid-March. I decided to give up my spot because I ultimately decided on Yale, but JHU were very generous with scholarship money so anyone who is awaiting a decision, I'm sure it will be worth the wait! Good luck to everyone!:)
  2. Made a facebook group!! It's called Yale School of Nursing GEPN 2024 - let me know if anyone has trouble finding it!
  3. Congrats everyone! I got in for WHNP - so excited!
  4. I volunteered at American Red Cross & Massachusetts General Hospital (I live in Mass). For the Red Cross - you can apply on their website and they run a very small, informal interview and then you are all set. I just worked checking people in at blood drive centers (which I believe are located all over the country). For MGH, they had an application on their website, which was also accompanied by a small interview. A lot of hospitals have opportunities if you Google their volunteer departments. If nothing comes up when you search, you can also email them and ask if they know of any opportunities! Other small projects were in soup kitchens with medically tailored meals and collecting supplies for students in need. These were organized through a club, reaching out to the organization's primary email address. I would try reaching out to a few places, I'm sure they would be more than happy for you to help. Let me know if you have any more questions, I'm happy to help!!
  5. I am so sorry ? I wish you the best of luck in whatever you put your mind to in the future! For my stats/background, I hold a 3.97 GPA from my BS in Biochemistry, with minors in Mathematics and Psychology. I had about ~1000 hours as a nurse assistant and about ~400 hours as a volunteer. I have a couple of honor societies and the president of a club at my college. I can't think of much else that would've contributed to my application besides my recommendation letters (2 from professors 1 from an NP) and my essays. I hope this helped & good luck with everything!
  6. I got in for nurse midwifery! There should be an update if you go on the application portal and open your application.
  7. What did everyone apply as? I applied Nurse-Midwifery (btw good luck to you all <3)
  8. Does anyone know if we get an email right away when our decision is released or if they update the applicant portal first?
  9. I'm so nervous! I wish we could find out sooner than the 22nd ?
  10. Admissions said December 22nd in an email to me - so hopefully this is true! I don't think it's due for another little bit but I'm not 100% so I would research it and get into contact with FAFSA!
  11. We find out in 2 weeks!
  12. Applicant for Fall 2024 here! I applied yesterday for the January 15th deadline. For anyone who applied around this time, when did you get your decision? I know I'll be hearing from Yale & Vanderbilt in the next couple of weeks so I was hoping I would have enough time to hear back from Johns Hopkins before the deadline of those two (assuming I get any sort of good news). Also hope that everyone who got in is having a good start!
  13. Oh wow, I didn't know that. I was hesitant to pay the deposit for Regis but I think I may just do it. The deposits on top of application fees is definitely not ideal money-wise.
  14. @nursingstudent188 congrats!! did Regis give you a short deadline to commit? They gave me till December 29th to commit, just seemed abrupt to me.
