Did anyone get a call last week about doing an interview panel for the New Grad program for Spring/Summer? I had an initial interview with all the managers from the different units and the head of the New Grad program to see if any of the units would be interested in moving forward with me.

Where did you see this??

For those of you who submitted references, did your status change after? It shows that all my my references were completed but my status still says "in consideration for interview"

Wondering now why my status never changed! Hopefully that isn't a bad sign ? good luck!

Hm my status hasn't changed yet! Did it just change today? Maybe they are slowly going through references and changing the status. I entered in all my references and they were completed within 48 hours. Still haven't heard anything back yet

Has anyone from NICU heard back after the references??

I'm assuming that means if we don't here about references then we're out of the running? Did they tell you when to expect a reference check email? They just told me the whole process is about 2 weeks and we'd here about references before the 2 weeks

Also It wasn't totally clear at the time but did they say everyone who interviewed would receive a request for references or only certain people they are still considering?

No not yet! I was surprised we didn't get them the day of the interview. I assume they will be sending them out by the end of this week now that all the interviews are done

Yes I do! I'm in the Graduate Nurse program at CHOC. It's more LVN level work and it's task based nursing care so I don't take on my own patients but it's great experience and helps set you up for their residency program. I currently live in SD so it's a bit of a drive for me but great for the experience.

I got referred to hiring for the NICU and haven't heard anything yet either. I did my preceptorship at Rady's in the CTICU and currently work in the NICU at CHOC in a temporary nursing position. I also have my PALS and NRP and 3 years of peds CNA experience. Hopefully we will hear back soon!
