Did any of you have trouble with the my.laroche application saying incomplete? it has the "interview" and "GPA >3.0" as not received but they received all my transcripts & my GPA is above 3.0. I've called and emailed graduate admissions, there's no way they'll review my application until it says complete but I feel like I have gotten little help from admissions.

I don't have much to offer besides that you seem like a great candidate and should do just fine applying! I would make sure you reach out to programs you're interested in to make sure your science courses haven't "expired"!

I spoke to them today just to confirm they received everything in my app. they said they will start reviewing early January and interview invites will be sent in February!

that makes more sense. depending on how this round of applications go, look into possibly going to a level 1. schools just like how it looks I swear. I worked in community hospitals and it's so much harder. I work surgical/trauma at the only level 1 in a 3 hour radius! we aren't device trained for ECMO or CRRT/SLED but we do get these patients (we have perfusionists)…. otherwise, we don't get many devices at all!

you should get an interview then, just comes down to timing! (I've had 2 interviews total) that's crazy only 2 months orientation as a new grad, my facility does a graduate nurse program that's like 6 months long before they're off orientation. are you at a level 1 teaching facility?

my significant other is a CRNA, "the hardest part is getting in" is what I'm always told! how long was your orientation? do you have your CCRN? any committees/preceptor? those are the only things I could think that may be holding you back... our ICU experience is pretty similar (I had 2 months orientation because I have nursing experience so I didn't have to do a whole graduate RN thing).

I graduated nursing school in 2019 - did med/surg and traveled. started in a level 1 sticu in august of 2022! I applied a few different places - waitlisted at one & still waiting to see if I got interviews elsewhere! how about you?

That's good to know! I completed all my prerequisites then did only nursing classes at a hospital program. My nursing degree GPA was a 2.89, BSN GPA 3.9, cumulative 3.4, science GPA I believe is around the same 3.4 range. My GRE was a 297 but I'm also retaking that. CCRN, TNCC, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and ultrasound IV certified. I graduated nursing school in 2019 but started in the surgical/trauma ICU in 2022. Did they provide a shadow form of any sort? Same with references? Or did you just email/mail them?

this current application period ends in March - is this for the term fall 2024 term? the website is pretty bare. what are your stats like? my chemistry class starts in January but may still apply now!

I'm applying this year (sent my application in about 2 months ago). what were your stats like? how was the interview and the exam before? what do you wish you would've known before the interview? my stats are cumulative GPA 3.4, BSN GPA 3.9, GRE 297 (retaking in January), 15 months experience level 1 STICU (been a nurse since 2019), CCRN, TNCC, PALS, interview committee, skin care champion, preceptor, ultrasound IV certified & taking a chemistry course in January as well.
