I received my offer, on Friday, to join the August cohort. It's probably too late to interview for August start but last application cycle people interviewed later for the second start date. Don't give up hope while still applying for other opportunities. I didn't move past reviewed last cycle. The rejection stunk but pushed me to do more. I volunteered at UC Davis and posted updates on linkedin this cycle. It really did help with networking since my clinicals were done elsewhere. I also learned a lot about the hospital and met some wonderful people. Good luck everyone!

Yes, my application said route before the interview. The nurses I volunteer with think I should have been updated already and that this late date means no job for me. A post from last year mentioned someone was hired 7/7 though, so I don't know. It is for a specialty unit. I am not opposed to float pool or med-surg but got sent to ED due to prior work experience and preceptorship placement. Good luck to everyone enduring this long wait.

ER is hiring and interviews are happening. Hopefully, they have several spots available!

I don't mind. They do not release the ranking of waitlist candidates. They keep you on the waitist until the program starts. I heard an official no in July.

I was waitlisted last year. This year I got in! It's bittersweet, as I started attending graduate school somewhere else in January. They want decisions by April 15th.

Hello! Are people planning on reusing their nursing cas essay for the Statement of Purpose or writing a new essay? The prompts were pretty detailed and I definitely have to do some reworking. I got into usfca entry level masters but UCD is so much closer to home. USFCA will start before I even hear back from UCD!

I wasn't attempting to make anyone feel bad. I am nervous myself and thought we could bond over our diverse backgrounds.

I called and was given the same information Scholarship applications through my hospital are due in two days. Fingers crossed we hear by then. A distraction question....What kind of medical experience do people have? I work in the ER and have a scope of practice between LVN and RN. I mostly start IVs and give meds. Wishing everyone luck.
