Here's a quick update my test became infrequent because I was a student at the time when I got in the loop of PRN since then I failed my medical board exam and my training license has since expired It was actually expired for an additional three months while I was still testing and going to therapy with PRN. They were in the process of releasing me from the program, which is why my test became so less. It's been about two months since I've been out of PRN , they say that I have completed the program and I'm in compliance but I still feel very scared because I'm wondering even though they said no when I take my exam and I pass and I apply we just come back up I'm scheduled to take my medical exam again in the next couple of weeks so I guess I'll find out then.

Any thoughts ? comments or direction ?

Hi Guys me again , I need some advice if any out there, I am 1 year into my contract , my temp license is now expired as I'm waiting to take my exam for the second time (failed my first attempt) . Is my contract still valid if my training license is now expired ? how long can they hold me with no type of license or application for one with DOH. I cannot apply for one until I pass my board exam. I just want to be free I don't have a desire to drink I have no SAD I just cant afford this nor want to be apart of this mental BS and want my life back. any advice or if someone can point me in the direction of advice .

I hear you heavy on the misery ! This sucks but you've made it far almost done . I wish I was tested so infrequently I got tested 3x per each month the whole year.

Hi guys , has anyone's testing slowed down after year one ? Last month, I had to speak up for myself because I was being tested 3 to 4 times a month and it was draining me , I spoke to my case manager and she said that she will speak to the members to have it slowed down after reviewing my my case, I've made a year in jail with PRN which was October and I've noticed that now I have not been called for test since then my last test was October 5. My last test has anyone tested slow down after the first year for more than 30 days? Is this normal? I don't drink or put myself at risk at all I wanna be done but I'm just wondering .

Hi guys I can't believe after over 10 months I missed a check in , the second I notified I missed it I messaged my case manager and went to self test but couldn't go until the next morning but it was within the 24hours . The place was already closed , but I tested a little over 24hrs (about 27) what should I expect ? I'm so pissed at myself and also nervous for what awaits I've never missed a check in yet ! And all my screens have been negative this entire time

This is super stressful, I can't imagine being pregnant what's the length of your contract ? Did you ask for a early release this is a time to be happy and stress free

Is there anyone out there who has completed their time early ? As in went up for review asking for early release and it was granted ? If so please share ! I'm coming up on a year and ready to take a chance I have a 2year contract, and from my point of view been doing everything correct zero missed check ins stupid AA 3x a week (that I don't need ) completed IOP without hiccups, attuned my weekly sessions (which are dumb) please I need out this crap it's draining me I need some hope

I have a 2-year contract, only less than 6 months in looking forward to a yearly review so I can be free! I too will celebrate with a champagne bottomless mimosa brunch! they are doing more harm than good. AA/NA is a joke I don't relate to and have no need to go, I completed my IOP this week so I'm "safe to practice" (I was never a danger to begin with I'm a F****** student ). I think that the ETG should have a cut-off, if we go over it multiple times then it's a problem because as an adult has a glass of wine or two, it is unrealistic to say an adult who does not have an alcohol problem cannot even have wine braised steak, with a glass of wine or champagne at a celebrator dinner FOH

Congrats!, When you went for your one-year review did you ask for early release? if so how did the yearly review go ? did you have any hiccups along the way

how long is/was your contract for and did you try to fight it ? I'm pretty much in the same situation I've contacted lawyers and they believe that cause its 2 years, it is cheaper to just deal with PRN but I'm in hell and it will cost almost the same as fighting. but the outcome is unknown

Hello, sorry I don't have info but, LOL can I get more info on what the option was that they gave you? I'm kinda of in the same position and ready to give up and wondering what option I will get the process is if I turn myself in after signing a contract with these devils I'm not a nurse but still in school and I had a very low pos THC pre-employment (not related to the license ) did you have to do a IOP etc

Thank you for your response, I will most definitely contact a lawyer, there is no way you can write the wrong name on a medical document and it is still valid. As someone who works in a hospital when that happens, you must verify the patient. and the rules should not change just because it's not a physical examination. they are still making a "diagnosis" or "recommendation for treatment" this is why I'm so confused

I previously wrote a post about fighting the DOH ( hope you read it and can help). After further reading my contract and my initial evaluation from the medical LMHC, I noticed they wrote the wrong name on my initial PRN evaluation. Yes, most of the info is correct as in my personal info but towards the end, they called me the wrong patient name next to a pretty important section. Is this grounds for terminating the contract? Or for a new evaluation? I am already under contract (less than 45 days) but haven't started IOP but have submitted UDS since signing which is negative.

PLEASE KEEP SMART UNNECESSARY COMMENTS TO YOURSELF Long story short, can I fight the DOH , I had a pos THC while still in school applying for a job not related. PRN hit me with an unnecessary contract for 2 years at my school which is supposed to be a monitor a quarterly reporter says it's BS and has never heard of this situation for students behind desk ! and this is coming from the dean. is it easier to get a lawyer to get out of this? or should I challenge the Dept of health if reported if they even report me? I still have to test to get into clinical rotations I still have to test to get out of the program. I need advice this is killing me and I've been testing negative, I'm still in school with a training license haven't even reached clinical yet and they are draining my pockets I need to know if has anyone been in this situation or have advice as to a step could make.

Hey , I drank a couple glasses of wine (small glasses at that ) two days before and didn't think they would test for alcohol, I'm months away from graduating with a BS it's not so easy to walk away after doing 3 years of school. Because of the positive thc they want money so they are saying I have a problem which I absolutely do not it's a lot about money with these people.

Hello Work friends, I'm not in nursing but I am a Lab Science student but I am desperate and still confused and scared for my license, I failed a Florida DOT for a job not related to my training license now I'm labeled an addict, I tested positive for THC. I did eat edibles from time to time over the Summer months, it's not something I normally do (I thought I would be clean 30+ days later which I wasn't and I put myself here ), everything happened so fast they cut my hair for testing (neg) urine (still pos @50 mg but cut off was 20mg ) blood peth(pos but low levels show abstinence but they still don't want me to drink??? ) OVER 1300 IN EVAL FEES AND TESTING OUT OF POCKET SO FAR, now I am hit with a contract of 2 years with the wolves at PRN. has anyone have this unfortunate experience please help guide me in some way. Has anyone ever had their contract shortened? released early for constant negative results? I have to enter into IOP but they are costly and with no job being a student I cannot afford 2-3 hundred busks a day for 8 weeks plus the random drug testing? what were your experiences? please share Thanks in advance Signed - Lab
