  1. It's clear they want BSNs over ASNs. The way they asked this in the pre-screening question area made it really seem like it's a weed-out-question.
  2. Piggybacking off the most recent comment...I (external) also received my rejection email from Scripps but at 10:11am. For reference, I submitted my NGR videos minutes before they were due. Kind of half-@ss'd my way through them because I had clinicals the next morning. Didn't really expect anything good from them anyways. Best of luck to everyone!
  3. Hi everyone! Excited to apply to Kaiser as my first NGR. Good luck to us all. I am very naive to the process because I missed all of the info sessions but if it means anything, I got word that KP San Marcos is mainly hiring internally. Take that for what you will. Outside of that, does anyone know how many LoRs they prefer? Thanks.
  4. Quick update. Palomar actually gave me until 4pm to accept the offer as they called and left me a voicemail to extend the offer just in case I missed the email. I just confirmed via email that I won't be attending. So to those on the waitlist or are waiting on a response, I would wait til around 4pm today to start seeing more offers. Good luck!
  5. Awesome! Congrats!! I didn't end up accepting my seat so I'm hoping you got it. We had a similar amount of pts. Best of luck.
  6. Yup Thursday for everyone who received the email I'm assuming. So Friday is when I'm assuming people will be let off the waitlist!
  7. Hi all, I just received my acceptance email at 10:30am! I'm so grateful. I will be considering giving up this seat as I've been accepted into SWC. Good luck to you all.
  8. Whhhaaat? I had 87 at most. I wonder if they gave me an extra point somewhere. 88 is insane competition. I think every year the bar will keep going up.
  9. So I'm getting a total of 83 pts here. Where are the other 3 pts from?
  10. Wow! So their cut off for acceptances is mid 80s/100 points?? That's crazy. I'm wondering why they're not placing you in the alternative waitlist if that's the case. Does this mean waitlisted folks have to have above that threshold?
  11. Is your CNA license expired by any chance? And are you 100% sure you calculated your points correctly? Maybe they calculated them differently. edit: nvm on the expired part, I saw you answered that already.
  12. Thanks. Yup I think your TEAS score is good enough to get in! I was kinda scared mine was too low just cuz I saw lots of ppl claiming to have scored in the 90s. Thanks. And yea it looks like they're sending acceptances in small waves. Or going from app to app. Regardless I wouldn't expect everyone to be waiting much longer.
  13. Hey everyone I received an email about 1 hour ago that I was accepted! No text message though. And fwiw I had at 87 points at most. Low TEAS score, at about 77% overall. 4.0 GPA science prereqs, 3.8 non science, no language courses, 4 points from the written statements, a BS degree, and 1200 hours as an EMT.
  14. This is great to know, thank you. I did pretty average on my TEAS so I'm hoping that won't deter them too much. One more quick question from me. How soon after receiving your acceptance did SWC start requiring you to complete the CPR, background check, drug test, and immunizations? Wondering if I should get a head start on that.
  15. I got a couple of quick questions for you. I could be overthinking it, but did you turn in the page 4 of the application where it asks about immunizations and CPR card? And also, did you turn in the full paper packet by itself? Seems kinda off not being able to staple it and then hand them a bunch of loose papers. Thank you for the application date info by the way. I'm confident we have a chance! Interesting! Thank you for the heads up. Hope you're doing well in the program so far!
  16. Hey everyone. Just wanted to make this for those who are applying this cycle to the Palomar ADN program. I got about 88-89 points on their point system if I did the math correctly. How is everyone feeling about their application?
  17. Hi everyone! I wanted to make this thread for those who are applying for the SWC fall 2024 ADN program. Looks like their application style is all on paper! I'm almost ready to turn mine in. How many points are you guys coming in at? I have about 87 points if I did the math correctly. I'm not overly confident or anything because I was recently rejected from SDCC this cycle with ~84 points on their system. It's getting real competitive out here! Good luck to everyone!
  18. Oh, then you're good. I was assuming "not started" literally meant not started but if you got the congrats email, then you're definitely in. Don't worry. Remember they are understaffed and slow to update us. Probably got too lazy to update that as well.
  19. I don't even think they opened my application to be honest. They were still working on my transcript evals which I submitted sept 4th 2023 so chances are I got rejected cuz I didn't have everything ready maybe? It literally says "not started" on RN application. I bet they got so overwhelmed with apps that they mass rejected everyone else who didn't make the cut. There's no way that there's a whole page of rejections on here simply due to our performances. My guess is that they are understaffed and didn't have the workforce to get through every app. Good luck to those who made the cut!!
  20. Also rejected. Yikes. Bummer since this was the only school I applied to.
  21. Probably doesn't mean much but I received the same email just now. Maybe they are sending these emails as they work from application to application.
  22. I just keep looking at the application portal where we had to submit everything. I see they haven't even started my generic RN application and are still processing transcript evals. They are very behind and I'm expecting them to push the date to the end of Dec.
  23. Nah exactly. I thought I saw "Spring 2024" and then it randomly changed to fall 2024...
  24. At some point, I thought I was applying in Sept for Spring 2024, but then I saw fall 2024. We applied to start in fall 2024 so it's gonna start 08/2024. The 2025 message was for the next application cycle and has nothing to do with those who applied this sept.
  25. Same. So if the application cycle was sept 1-sept 30, and we get notified 60-90 days AFTER the 30th, that means the absolute soonest any of us will hear back is Dec 1st. Which realllllly sucks LOL.
