I'm not sure yet but probably prior. Especially, due to wanting the in-state tuition.

OMG! I just got accepted. What a LONG drawn out journey! I'm officially going to be a CRNA.

I also was invited to interview on the first day they sent out emails and did not get the email stated above.

I was fortunate enough to receive an interview at FIU and I've had interviews at previous schools before and want to do really well on this. What did you use to study? I understand their interview style is more clinical heavy, but did they ask any EI questions? Any med math dosage questions? I want to put my best foot forward and excel. Thank you! And congrats ? I hope the program is going well.

Congrats to everyone who got into the program. My interview is tomorrow- anxious and nervous is an understatement for how I'm feeling now.

My science GPA is about 3.8. I retook the only course I got a C in and got an A. I've also taken 4 graduate level courses and got A's in all of them. My cumulative GPA is actually on the lower end- 3.3. I have my CCRN, TNCC, 5yrs of ICU experience at a level 1 trauma facility, charge nurse, preceptor, and on a few unit committees.

I received my invite to interview last Friday. For those who have interviewed with them before, what type of interview style is it? Emotional Intelligence/Clinical questions? Thanks ?

I got an email regarding the status update but I'm sure what to put for my temporary pin... nothing I put down is working.

I reached out to the team once I found out I was wait listed but haven't since then. I did apply to other schools, but this was the only one I was waitlisted for and my top choice of school. I really resonated with the facility, location, and structure of the program. Did you apply else where?

Anyone on the waitlist hear back yet? Fingers crossed but not holding my breath.

I was also waitlisted.... Disappointed but it is what it is. Wish they said where you stood on the waitlist line.

Mayo Clinic(didn't get an interview), University of Minnesota (interviewing next week), MSA (didn't get an interview), Mount Marty, Saint Mary's, and Lacrosse. Midwestern when the application window opens. What about you?

I was offered an interview via email and I registered for a date and time. Anyone else offered an interview? I was told it was pretty laid back and the questions are based on emotional intelligence and personal. Let the stress begin. Good luck to everyone.

For those of you who were offered an interview, what were your stats prior to applying (GPA, length in ICU, committee involvement, certifications) ?

Hey All, I just joined the community and I'm looking for some insight. I've been a nurse for the last 5yrs with 3yrs in a level 1 surgical/trauma unit. My undergrad GPA is 3.0(which I know is low to be competitive for CRNA school). I'm involved in multiple committees on my work unit and I'm also a preceptor. I have experience working as a Rapid Response Nurse. I've also obtained my CCRN and currently studying for my TRCN (which I know may or may not make much of a difference). I have excellent recommendations for school (Trauma surgeon, supervisor, and ICU NP). I've completed an Advance Pharmacology course a year ago and after speaking with a school I was interested in, they recommended I take Advanced Patho and Intro to Nurse Anesthesia through Barry University. I recently completed those courses in the Spring and received an A. I'm just wondering if there's anything else I can do to stand out more... that's honestly the reason I plan on taking my TCRN. Thanks for your assistance.
