  1. As a new graduate new to the OR I am finding guidance for surgical prep lacking. We were shown the basics - abdomen. Any resources would be appreciated. Specifically: 1) Bilateral mastectomies with axillary dissection, DIEP flaps or adductor flaps? 2) Betadine prep for circumcision or male cysto? Male foley insertion makes sense because we have a designated dirty hand...I have been shown many different ways but all of them seem to contaminate by retracing... thanks in advance.
  2. Hello, New grad nurse here and new to the OR. I have a question about skin antisepsis and where to find a good guide for a variety of cases...? Specifically, 1) Betadine prep for male circumcision or cysto? Foleys I get because you have a designated dirty hand but when prepping all of it, what's the best practice. 2) prep for mastectomy with axillary sentinel node interrogation and, DIEP flap or adductor flap? thanks in advance!
