  1. Wait, what? How is that possible? I don't understand how a full MSN plus all those extra terms and serving your 500+ hours of clinical time can result in less than what you paid for. Did they give refunds? The AANP and ANCC don't say you have to pass an exit exam in order to take their board exams. That is so awful. So much time and money wasted!
  2. STU does not help with preceptors. If you ask (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFO ABOUT OTHERS) she'll send you a list of preceptors that students have used in your area but that will be the extent of the help you receive. Be aware though that most all programs are the same format of "teach yourself and find your own preceptor" so be very wary of programs promising you the moon. The ones that really actually do help and/or pay preceptors are few and far between.
  3. You're at the end of the entire program? So is this the full APEA FNP predictor? Did they give you the areas necessary for remediation at least? Are there only two tries? I am sorry to hear this. It stinks that they made these other APEA changes in the prior courses and did not bother to even let current students know so they could make other choices before going too far in this program. I hope you are able to pass on the second try. I would imagine they could make you retake the final clinical semester, maybe? I am shocked that no one at all passed. Did they give any notice at all that the test was coming? I can't see how they could possibly make someone redo ALL of it. But I have learned that it is impossible to predict what these schools will do. They seem unbothered by the prospect of outright failing people.
  4. The school is on probation. The pass rate is absolutely not 100%. If you want a license endorsed from Florida to California be prepared to wait a minimum of 6 months. If you want to work in California choose another school.
  5. Do you know if anyone has brought these concerns to the Dean at all? So what happened to the APEA exam that they used to do at the end? Will there be multiples? In the certificate program, that last course is not included so I wonder what they will do.
  6. Well this is some horrifying news, ugh. I literally chose this certificate program because they did not rely on these types of nonsense tests. Since this is a "teach yourself" program it is even more absurd that they would choose to use them.
  7. Wait so they are no longer just doing this in the course at the end of the MSN? It is now during a clinical rotation course? They definitely did not disclose this info anywhere in regards to the Certificate program.
  8. I found out that the APEA is only for the MSN track. It doesn't apply to the PMC FNP track. Just in case anyone else was wondering.
  9. Thank you so much! I was just reading that they do APEA at the end of the program which no one had mentioned so now I have something else to freak out about ha ha!
  10. This is super encouraging to read. So far I can see the courses on Canvas and they look pretty straightforward and I appreciate that there are actual "lectures" vs just reading. How have you found the proctored exams? Are they awful like Proctorio or ProctorU? I have used Respondus prior and I believe that is what they will use here. Have you found that the provided materials on Canvas enable you to pass the exams? So far everything has been almost too good so I am very scared reading these reviews, LOL! Did you have a lot of trouble finding preceptors? That's really my only huge worry.
  11. Thank you so much for posting. I was also accepted to the school and was beginning to be frightened with what I am reading here. Did you go on to graduate? So far I have been impressed with the initial contacts with everyone as well as the LMS. It's the same one as my prior school so I am used to it. I would appreciate hearing from anyone else who has finished the PMC FNP or even the MSN FNP here recently as to how they fared. Thank you again for posting a positive review. It is appreciated!
  12. Hi Steven, I tried to message you but for some reason the system says I have "0 available" emails... Is it possible for you to somehow email me through here about your path? I would be very interested to hear about your journey from RN to BSN with the unaccredited ADN. Thanks!
