  1. Thanks for your replies. I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggles with this. I appreciated the reminder that most days we go home with good thoughts too.
  2. How do you dump off your day at the hospital door? I find this challenging. Not just on particularly challenging days, but even on days when I take care of a very ill patient who touched me. I go home thinking about how sad it was and take on all the emotional burden of it. I'm getting better, but would love to hear what the rest of you do
  3. I am in my last semester of nursing school. My husband informed me over christmas break he wants a divorce. It has compunded the stress level immensely as money is tight and I live right next door to his entire family:eek: Thank God they are still supportive of me. Like others have mentioned, it can be done. We have a 2 y/o boy and that is what keeps me ticking. Just MAKE SURE you are very gentle and loving to yourself. Take time to go for walks, seek counseling if it will help, and read for pleasure when you can. It is amazing how much the little things become so meaningful. I wish you the best. I am confident you will do well!

Hello all! I graduate this spring and loved my home health rotation. I would like to hear if any of you in home health have ever felt concerned for your safety about going to someone's house by yourself. How did you handle it?
  5. I loved this posting! I am about to graduate this spring and with all the hustle and bustle around me it was nice to be reminded how simple yet how empowering a touch or a look can be for a patient. How refreshing :)
