Hey everyone! Just wanted to give a friendly reminder to join the facebook forum for the 2023-2024 cohort. It's not very active yet, but let's change that! Getting to know each other early on will be fantastic as we'll be spending the next two years together. Also, fingers crossed that some of the alternates got picked and are now enrolled. By the way, it was great meeting some of you today at the orientation. Looking forward to connecting with all of you!

I start in Spring 2024. I tried doing the uniforms too but figured I'll wait until after the orientation because the Spring option was not available.

I just received it today. OMG! There's so much to do. I'm excited! They are also accepting the HESI exam but you have to have at least a 70% and it has to have the science portion ?

They sent my email acceptance letter to the wrong email address. I was accepted and was not on the waiting list.

Thank you. I got a second invitation to one of the occupational therapy practitioner programs, and their administrative department contacted me via phone. They were sending the email to the wrong email address. They left out a letter in my email address. The Cerritos' website said not to reach out, so I figured to wait until after April. But I will contact them on Monday.

Did they send you an email to inform you your status? Was it your personal email? I still have not heard from Cerritos Nursing department.

This is not true. I just talked to one of the advisors, and it even says it on the individuals who were unselected's status. Applications were not looked at unless the student was chosen from the lottery. Everyone was put in the lottery, and the only applications evaluated were the students whose names were drawn. It was not based on merit. It was based on luck. The same applies to the other programs: Radiological Technology, Respiratory Care Practitioner, etc.

I think it might take a few days. It does not seem like there were that many people who stated that they were selected. They are probably manually selecting the merit-based still and will most likely do the lottery tomorrow. If that's the way they're doing it unless it's still just random names then evaluate their application like they've been doing the past three years.

That's not what they did last year. They did not evaluate the applicants application unless they were picked.

I have a BS in Health Sciences. I decided to apply to DPT, PTA, OT, OTA and Respiratory Therapy programs this year. At least I have other options besides nursing. TEAS score, GPA, and experience do not matter when it comes to Fresno City's program. It's based on luck
