There is a nursing school in Puerto Rico called Interamericana Unversidad de Puerto Rico. It is longer than twelve months, but it is cheap! The total tuition is about $18,000. The program is 24 months for a BSN, but they except transfer credits. You have the option to exit with an ADN. The program is divided into trimesters not semesters. It is also in English. My husband who is from Croatia or his friends did not have take the TOEFL. There is not a waitting list to get into the program. The program is easy to get into. I applied to the school a week before the program started and got in. As far as I know there is really no deadline for the Fall trimester. The website is http://www.metro.inter.edu/servicios/academicos/prognotradi/englishtrimester/enfe/nursing/index.html I completed the BSN program under two years and passed the NCLEX. Why not get your BSN on a tropical island? Good luck!
