Has heard of anyone else being admitted as a nursing transfer? I've been trying to hunt admits down to connect with them but I've had no luck so far ?

Good luck to both of you! Considering how crazy competitive this program is, being waitlisted is definitely a huge win! ? I'm not sure how many people got accepted this year (haven't heard from anyone else so far), but I do know that only 7 out of 395 transfers were accepted last year so I would assume around the same amount were accepted this year but this value always changes!

Also, how is it attending UCLA SON right now? I believe you have an option to minor in public health(?) since UCLA is a three-year program (please correct me if I'm wrong!); did you opt for this?

Hi everyone!! I noticed that there was no UCLA nursing transfer thread for Fall 2023, so I decided to start one! Here are my stats: 3.94 Overall GPA (including one dual enrollment class from high school) 4.0 Science GPA CNA certification w/ NO work experience (due to transportation issues and other reasons) Finished all of the prerequisites on June 2022 Working towards an ADT in Biology (my backup major; taking physics & finishing ochem right now) Heavily involved at my community college! (club president, student leader, teaching assistant, ex-tutor) Feel free to share your stats or thoughts, too! Good luck to everyone!! ❤️

Hi! I'm also applying for transfer to UCI!! My current overall GPA is 3.94 (including dual enrollment from high school), and my science GPA is 4.0; I finished all of the prereqs! I have my CNA certification, but I don't have any work experience due to transportation issues <//3 But, I'm very involved at my community college! I'm a little worried about my chances due to the low acceptance rate last year (only 7 transfers were admitted <//3) so I think my chances are higher at UCLA since they have a supplemental application + they are admitting 20+ transfers!
