  1. Hey ya'll I just graduated nursing school and am looking to get a job through the Penn Medicine system in Philadelphia, either at Penn Presbyterian or HUP. Can anyone here tell me what the hiring process is like? How long does it for HR to reach out for an interview? How many interviews are there? What are they like? What is the starting rate for a CN1 in the Penn Medicine system? Thanks for any and all info you can give!
  2. Heya! I just graduated from my ABSN program in December, and just took and passed the NCLEX this week. I'm hoping to apply to CHOP's new grad residency program but there's no information on their website about start dates or how to apply to the program. In the FAQs under how to apply, there's a link that directs you to their careers page, but all the listed positions require at least a year of RN experience. It seems almost impossible to get your foot in the door... Anybody here have advice for me?
  3. I'm a prospective nursing student (hoping to enroll in UMASS Boston's ABSN program this fall) and would like to practice in the UK in the near future as my partner will be moving there. Does anyone know if the NMC's educational/clinical hour requirements for registration have changed since this thread was last active? I reached out them but am not hopeful I'll get a response anytime soon. Hoping they've relaxed their requirements in the midst of ongoing nursing shortages.
