  1. You weren't lying seriously ppl..... RUN FROM THIS PLACE. AWFUL AND NOT SAFE.
  2. I have an interview lined up for a hospital in Brooklyn. I am going back to school in June. If worst comes to worst, I'll just stick it out in a nursing home for a couple of months. The big hospitals told me to call them back once I'm enrolled in a BSN program.... Thank god for WGU LOL
  3. Do you have your bachelor's in nursing? And do you already live in NY?
  4. NYC Health+ and Hospitals (Bellevue hospital and Kings County, etc) won't even interview you if you're out of state... learned that recently. You should be fine with the other hospitals (the ones that pay more). I'd stick with NYP or NYU.
  5. I am an experienced nurse (almost 2 yrs) and qualified for inpatient positions. I am moving to Brooklyn next month from out of state. I've received call backs from recruiters but once they realize I'm out of state they just end the process. Even though I have my RN license in NY. It's very frustrating for me and adds to the stress of not having a job lined up. Luckily, I will be moving in to my partner's apartment and I don't have to pay rent until we find a new place. I also am planning on going back to school, but I wanted my employer to help with tuition reimbursement. It's a gamble with moving to the city without a job. If worst comes to worst, I'll stick it out in a nursing home until I finish my BSN. Anyone else feeling frustrated with finding a job in NYC?
