  1. I sent you a private message you can respond to that.
  2. I'm thinking they haven't suspended them yet because NY has their hands filled with all this mess going on. If they suspend all these nurses I believe they have the right to a fair hearing within 30 days.
  3. I believe this is still an ongoing process. They probably just haven't made any final decisions on what to do with the nurses that are already licensed and practicing.
  4. I didn't hear about this new law. Can you explain more about it?
  5. Yes it's true they did send letters to nurses with active licenses to voluntarily surrender their license... but for those who opted not to surrender their license they are still active and able to work. In other states like Maryland they automatically revoked their license surrender or not.
  6. Which school are you currently attending if you don't mind sharing? My pre reqs are also about 8 years old and it's hard finding schools to accept them.
  7. Hey did you still need some recommendations for lawyers?
  8. Out of curiosity did anyone from this thread attended the traditional 2 year nursing program with any of the schools under investigation? Or was everyone in the bridge program for Lpn to RN?
  9. Everyone's case is different so maybe hiring a lawyer may be beneficial to some. Also keep in mind each state is handling this situation differently.
  10. I use this company as well for liability insurance but out of curiosity how would they be able to assist if we decide to seek legal counsel?
  11. With so many students affected I'm thinking (praying) that Florida at least offers a program of this sort.
  12. So if you pass NCLEX before your school went into review and have already been working under your license. Then go back and complete your BSN from an accredited school they will override the system and NY would grant a license?
  13. I’m in the same boat but haven’t had any issues with florida renewing my license. I just renewed in April.
  14. In CT I have to renew my license annually. I renewed it a few months ago and didn’t have any issues.
  15. I may give it another try and reapply after I complete my BSN.
  16. @Maria30 I went to siena college of nursing.
  17. Hello all just wanted to share my story. I attended a school in Florida that is now on the Nybon list. I received my ATT from Florida and passed the NCLEX back in April 2021. At that time Florida granted me a license. However when I applied for endorsement in NY in that same month my application was placed on hold pending investigation. After a few months of waiting I decided to apply for my license in CT. CT granted me a license in July of 2021. I pretty much lost hope in getting my license endorsed in NY. I’ve been waiting for 19 months. I pretty much picked up my husband and my baby and moved to CT to start a new life here from scratch. Don’t get me wrong it’s beautiful out here in CT, cost of living is great, and I was able to land a job paying 120k annually. I just get a little homesick sometimes missing friends and family. I held off on completing my BSN but I think I’m gonna start next year.
