  1. Have you started? How do you like it? How do you like this program?
  2. I am interested for Spring 2024. For anyone that has started, how is the program?
  3. Sorry. I posted this in the wrong thread LOL. Do you know how many applications UNLV had for this cohort?
  4. Hi love I have a question. Did you transfer any prerequisites over from other schools? Did they ask to provide a syllabus for those courses? They are asking for a syllabus for each prereq I graduated yeeaaarrrssss ago
  5. From my research, if you go directly through the state of California (calcareers) I didn't see it mention experience so I would apply to whatever prison you want to work. Same as County jails. For LA county, you just have to have your license. HOWEVER if you want to work for the agencies, which most people do because the pay is higher, you do need 1 yr RN experience.
  6. Hear back in August? Dnt the fall semester start in August? Does anyone know if they take online prereqs?
  7. Yes I understand that. So when people were saying they were losing it, IDK if they meant CCNE or just with their state BON. But you're right, I think they are referring to the state, which is probably why they opened a school in another state.
  8. Yeah some peoples opinions are confusing because based on the Arizona Board of Nursing https://drive.Google.com/file/d/1EDO4d7Pfh9j4IpPto5YoS9grcSHJa9NE/view they have their national accreditation until 2029. National being CCNE I believe. So IDK how they are losing their accreditation. I somewhat remember asking my recruiter about the NCLEX rates and I believe she mentioned covid and trying to do things online affected students. I see you stopped posting, did you get accepted? I hope you did ?
  9. I am, I just haven't started it yet. Right now I'm finishing up Nutrition, and working on Life Span Development and Anatomy and Physiology
  10. study.com is cheaper Same. I'm doing all prereqs on study.com except the ones that I HAVE to do at GCU. I should be ready by Spring as well
  11. That's awesome to hear. For clinicals did you need to have the vaxx? And did you take your vaxx card to the clinical site?
  12. Are you at the new Las Vegas campus?
  13. I too plan on starting this fall. As far as roommates go, I already live out here but may be relocating to Henderson so I can be closer. I did hear there is a roommate list. Reach out to your admissions rep. Sometimes with financial aid you may have a refund check left over for expenses. It just depends. You can also reach out to the financial aid dept
  14. I’m late but can you still do the online BSN options or even in California?
  15. How did you like it? And what specialty did you go into as a new grad
  16. Yeah I think that’s right But which campus has the “in person” August start date?
  17. What month are you trying to start? I thought the ABSN had start dates in Feb, June, and Oct…. Only the regular BSN have a start date in August correct? Oh okay understood. I haven’t gotten an interview as I am looking to start October I don’t think I will make June, and I think August is for the regular BSN and not the ABSN. Someone correct me If I’m wrong as I’m not sure
  18. Also, did you all notice the new curriculum? https://acceleratednursing.roseman.edu/accelerated-BSN-programs/course-catalog/ My advisor it is changing to be concept based I’m not sure what that means LOL
  19. Thank you!! I spoke to several people who adv they was able to get the endorsement with their clinical hours matching the state requirement where they were originally licensed. So I guess I will have to see
  20. How long do you have to work in that state before you can then apply to CA and the clinical hours no longer matter (your last option)
  21. Wait I see you mentioned the Nevada program. Are you referring to GCU? We have to take the NCLEX in Arizona?
  22. Anyone here starting in Las Vegas?
  23. What are some differences working prison vs jail? Was there plenty OT in both settings? what are the schedules in jail vs prison? Did they have employee cafeteria? All the prisons seem far and in the middle of nowhere, did you just move to a rural area? If so, how are you liking it?
  24. How are you liking it at this point
