  1. Yay congratulations! I am going to message you my number, if you have questions ?
  2. I believe you are required to sign up. You can email her if there are slots left. I signed up for Feb 4th at 10am and thank you! ?
  3. Sorry for the late response! I was confused when I got the email but I was assigned to my clinical site already. Anyone else assigned to the Veterans hospital in greater culver city? As for the lab, do you mean the Winter pre-program warm up with professor poy? I messaged her and it is held first four Wednesdays of the new year.
  4. Hello! Did you guys get your clinical assignments?
  5. I agree! However, I plan renew mine with my employer since they will reimburse me for it. Perfect timing as mine will expire 01/2023 Will any of you be signing up for the SMC Winter pre program warm up? If so, what day are you attending? Happy to exchange numbers or create a separate FB group to be able to connect with everyone!
  6. Hello! Most items on the checklist I have completed. The check list specifies to complete the CPR card and purchase the malpractice insurance after January 1, 2023 to ensure it is valid when we start clinicals. The FIT test is also going to be sent to our SMC email with instructions with a TBD deadline.
  7. @CHS Thank you for your input! Will definitely look into a per diem job after reviewing the school load. Update: I got my drug results yesterday on my CB account. I went to the lab Friday. I also got confirmation orientation emails will go out on Monday!
  8. OK same, just completed my drug screen yesterday. Please update the thread for those that got an email ? @Rcm Hello! How’s the semester going so far? Whats your current schedule like? and how much time do you set aside for studying outside of class? Are you able to juggle a part time/per diem job? I am debating if I should even work or do school full time. Any feedback is appreciated!
  9. Hello! Anyone successfully complete drug screening and background check and receive the email finalizing orientation details on the 18th?
  10. @Bacondan Exactly! I also heard the simulations and resources they offer are great but I can’t justify 140K… after obtaining my ADN we can easily start working and have companies reimburse tuition to alleviate some cost for a BSN bridge @Mandy1 hello! The cutoff date to apply for Spring was in July. Not sure when the deadline is to apply for Fall start however it might be posted on the schools website. Also, it is not online. Most RN programs don’t offer online unless it’s a RN to BSN program. Good luck to you! ?
  11. I got into College of Canyons as well as private schools WCU and Pacific College I’m definitely leaning on going to SMC bc of the tuition cost and location. NCLEX passing rates are amazing too! So exciting!! Cant wait to meet you all ?
  12. Big congrats everyone! I got accepted too!! ? I got accepted to a few other schools so have to crack down on my decision asap! SMC was one of my tops schools so I’m elated!
  13. Hello! I am creating a thread for Pacific College Costa Mesa Spring cohort starting Jan 9, 2023. Where are you in the COMPLIO compliance tracker? I am still waiting on my financial aid offer to figure I am eligible for loans as well.
  14. @Mmssmm22 that is awesome! I scored 149 going in with 84 points! Praying for some good news! I emailed the admin assistant and she said program status notifications will go out by the end of the month ?
  15. @Mmssmm22 I ended up doing pretty well! How did you do? I agree the science portion was much more challenging than the TEAS. 40 minutes for 60 questions was not enough time. I also ran out of time for the verbal portion and missed 5 questions. I agree, I found the practice exams to be helpful however quite pricey $25 each section. Focus on science (there were some physics questions) and verbal. Math was pretty straight forward.
  16. Hello everyone! I am considering WCU if community colleges don't accept me this Fall. The application I will be applying for is April 2023! I have most, if not all, of my pre requisites complete. @nursecindy24 do you mind sharing an estimate on total tuition cost? Will it take you two years? Anyone working while in school? I am wondering if I am able to manage a per diem job. Best of luck to you all!! ❤️
  17. Hello! I don't see a thread for Spring 2023 cohort and wondering if anyone has had the scheduled interview? I just submitted my application and TEAS score today now waiting to hear back with next steps. I want to prepare for the panel interview, if considered for January cohort. What were some of the questions asked?
  18. Hey! Thank you! Have not taken it yet as the period to take the exam is starting 10/18 - 10/22 SMC should be sending a vouchers by next week if you got the email. Be sure to register to receive the voucher, the email specifically says it should be sent by 10/14 Definitely be sure to reach out to IT to get your email fixed so you don’t miss out on important info ? wish you luck on the PAX!
  19. I wish I knew that in advance! I spoke with a counselor but we didn't touch on it. I saw the "please note" under the criteria form and didn't want to risk my chances of admission if I wasn't fluent in the language. That makes me feel much better! I too received A's in most of the required pre reqs I was just worried about the PAX exam since I've been focused on studying for the TEAS for other potential schools as well. Santa Monica was the only school that uses the PAX, I wish it was streamline across all nursing programs. Good luck to you! When are you taking your exam?
  20. Hey! Same, I’m proficient in a second language but not in medical terms and I wasn’t sure if there would be a test involved or it was a honor system. I’m at 58 points but hoping to do well on the PAX to increase it to 78-83!
  21. Hi there! Creating a thread for students who have applied to SMC ADN Spring 2023. How many points did you go in with? Have you heard back regarding PAX testing?
