  1. I mean don’t get me wrong I’m not trying to bash MDC or anything I love them as a school. And they need to charge slightly more for things as that’s how colleges pay for things so I understand haha. But I’m glad to hear you can return them. I wish they gave out a list of other acceptable brands or something. Everyone I talk to really dislikes the ones they sell in the bookstore.
  2. Wow…. $55. That brand, fundamentals, charges $15 for their Hunter green scrub top online.
  3. It’s just forest green. I think the ones I found are pretty close/close enough at least. I’m talking to people already in the program and they say that there’s a bunch of people with not exact colors because they got theirs elsewhere and no one says anything to them. My bottoms are even joggers? LOL. I’m asking for forgiveness not permission.
  4. Good question. I’m sure you could…. I found that Cherokee Infinity at Scrubs and Beyond were the nicest for their price. Really breathable and 4 way stretch. I don’t understand why MDC has such crappy scrubs to offer. They chose the company “fundamentals” which is just cheap and poorly made. If they want everyone to have a great experience and stop buying from outside vendors they should offer practical and comfortable clothing.
  5. By the way everyone, understand that they will try to drill it in your head that you MUST buy the uniform from the MDC store. Not true. They say that to everyone in each orientation. If you buy it elsewhere you’re fine. Just try to get forest green and take it to Blue Angels uniforms to have them put the MDC patch on!
  6. I didn’t think I could do anything FAFSA related until we sign up for courses and enroll. Since loans and FAFSA are based off of classes tat we are taking and amount of credits!
  7. I just hope we get the list of books we need so I can look for them online.
  8. During orientation I’d hope!
  9. Okay Thankyou! And you get your clinical schedule or class schedule the second week of December? I hope we get to pick our professors
  10. Oh wow that sounds pretty neat. I guess what I want the most is important information. Like how we can register for course, when we can, when we can register for clinical sites, etc…I’ve never signed up for a class with MDC because I’m from Minnesota. All my pre-reqs transferred so I’m going to need some help figuring out blackboard or whatever we use to turn in assignments and all.
  11. That’s weird that the drug test didn’t automatically upload, I think mine did if I remember correctly… and I never had issues with the flu! I have briefly looked over Pharmacology but that’s it. I don’t know what to study either. I might retouch on some physiology topics…. Im also wondering what we do those 3 days. I wish we saw some sort of schedule or something. We literally have no clue what we are doing ha
  12. 20% off all scrubs there today too!
  13. Yeah no problem! Since you literally have the green top, bring that in with you to match colors. I don’t know how similar mine are in the Cherokee infinity brand but from looking at pictures of the MDC uniform it looked close enough for me! Just unfortunate that Hunter green has like 5 different shades depending on the brand you go with ha.
  14. I just left scrubs and beyond in North Miami. They have good options for scrubs. I got their “Cherokee Infinity” Hunter green scrubs. I love them. And they’re pretty darn close to MDC Hunter green. I’m guessing there will be some people who don’t have the exact MDC colors since the brands are a little different if you go get them yourself. Just wanted to let you guys know they have them??
  15. I find it odd that we have to wear white. In this profession, white is the worst color to wear?. Thankyou for the info though.
  16. $7 for the logo and $7 for green arm stripes. You can either buy it from them or bring in your own!
  17. Great thanks!!
  18. Gotcha. Thankyou! So I need to have another one embroidered from blue angels then. It’s just a dark green right?
  19. Hey guys. So I work at Mount Sinai Medical Center and I just ran into a current MDC student who is doing her OB clinicals. I noticed she was wearing green pants which threw me off a bit because you until now I thought all we had to purchase was ONLY white scrubs. She said since day one of nursing school at MDC she was told to wear GREEN scrubs to school and a WHITE top with GREEN bottoms to clinicals. I’m a little confused now. Can anyone confirm this? I already bought a white top and BLUE ANGELS is sewing on the MDC logo onto my white top. I want to know if I should get a green shirt as well. Because it can take 2-3 weeks for them to embroider a uniform with the MDC logo. Does anyone know exactly what the uniform colors are for class and clinicals?
  20. Okay great! Then you’re very close to being done!
  21. Yes you’ll have to go pick the report up from school and upload it to Complio. They’re supposed to reach out to you when it’s ready for pickup, but as I’ve said a lot before, their communication is very, very, very poor. So you’ll probably have to continue reaching out or make a phone call. But once you upload it to complio you’ll be good to go.
  22. Oh gotcha! I think they told me that you’ll be able to request your clinical site! First come first serve. I really hope so because I drive a moped and I want to request the closest one to me.. I hate that there isn’t someone I can talk to about that. I’ve tried to email and they just tell me wait for when registration opens up. But if there isn’t a location option then I’m out of luck.
  23. Does anyone know when registration for clinical sites will open up?
  24. It would be so nice if there was a shuttle that went from school to clinicals?
  25. Oh that makes sense… well I’m down for whatever. If it means I graduate sooner heck yeah I’ll do Summer classes.
