  1. Hi! I just had my interview for WHNP/CNM and I wanted to report it was very relaxed and conversational. It was a 1:1 with a midwifery faculty member, and she asked questions in a very conversational manner. I was nervous going in and just wanted to let others know that my experience was they are genuinely interested in getting to know you and the what/why/how as opposed to the more rigid interview questions I have gotten in other program interviews. Best of luck to all!
  2. Hello! Thanks for this clarity. This is helpful context for why UCSF had the knee-jerk reaction to pull the MEPN program. I agree, it sounds like the best choice was for UCSF to delay the MEPN program until the DNP element is sorted out. The greatest challenge with this for me was I have been preparing to apply to UCSF since 2018, planning out pre-requisites, and even re-taking Statistics last year because of the four-year limit. UCSF did not alert us they were not going to be accepting applications for the MEPN program until after the historic deadline for applications for the program in early September! I just found this lack of transparency and communication disrespectful to those of us who have been working hard toward the opportunity to apply to UCSF. I was just accepted into the UW ABSN-DNP Midwifery program, which I am super excited about, and actually think it is a better fit program-wise for me! However- I definitely feel for those who were in my position, who pushed really hard to be eligible to apply to UCSF and didn't even have the opportunity to apply!
  3. Hi! I was just accepted into the ABSN-DNP nurse midwifery track for 2023 entry. I'm super excited and have really appreciated looking through this thread from last year. I was wondering if anyone who is currently in this same track, or in the ABSN program with interests in repro health, would be open to chatting a little bit about their experiences in the program? Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi! I just received an offer of admission to the ABSN program for 2023 entry (+the DNP Nurse Midwifery track). Hoping others got this same good news! Is anyone else confused by the Intent to Enroll form, which we have to submit by 12/23/22? I have applied to a handful of other schools that I won't hear back from until the end of January. As far as I can tell, this Intent to Enroll form is binding, but, it also seems odd for there to be such a quick turnaround time? Thanks and sending good thoughts to all who applied this cycle!
  5. Hi all, I just read this on the MEPN site this morning: "During this period of review, there is no application period for our Master's Entry Program in Nursing in fall 2022." Does this mean there won't be an application cycle this round? I have been working hard to apply to this program for many years and am a bit shocked/disappointed if this is the case?
