I am an LPN who is considering Indiana State University LPN to BSN. Am looking to find out if there are any LPN's in Hawaii that have successfully completed this program. I am worried about finding clinical sites and would really appreciate any feedback anyone could provide. Thanks in advance.

I would say study like mad for the Kaplan nursing exam!

I have taken classes at Hutchinson and also Pratt Community College through Edukan. I had already taken pathophysiology at another college a while back. I would try Edukan at Pratt.

There are 8 prerequisites and a maximum of 24 points you can receive on those. For an A you would get 3 points. For a B you would get 2 points, for a C you would get 1 points etc. On the Kaplan Nursing exam there is a total of 20 points possible that you can receive. There are 4 different sections that you are tested on in the Kaplan nursing exam. Reading, Writing, Science and Math. On the Science and reading on the Kaplan if you to not get at least 73% in the reading and 53% in the Science you cannot apply. You can get lower in the math and the writing but you won’t get as many points. The overall has to be at least 65% with the minimum scores shown for reading and science.

How do you go about scheduling for the clinicals? I heard that is the hard part.

How do you go about getting your clinicals scheduled?

I have been reading about Indiana State University LPN to BSN. The thing with this program which is online is that you have to find your own clinical sites and your own preceptor. Certain states board of nursing do not accept RN's from this program. I think around 27 do. son-lpn-bsn-recognized-states-Copy.pdf Hutchinson Community College is online and you fly to where the clinicals are held and do them in an 8-10 day block

So as far as the results for Kaplan is 80% the minimum score to get in? Thanks

Hi were you accepted to ISU? I am trying to find out all the information I can about the LPN to BSN program but have never actually seen posts with many people who have completed or started the program.
