  1. You need to still put your name, email, phone number, and other relevant contact info on your resume (adding a linkedin url is OK). Putting a full home address on one's resume is a bit outdated, but you can still add your city and state. When they said no personal info when I applied to the ongoing program, they told me they were referring to extra info like date of birth, race, etc.
  2. Sounds like final hiring decisions have been made for the perioperative track. I was asked for references but was not selected to receive an offer. Wishing everyone the best of luck in their own tracks!
  3. Getting anxious because I’ve gotten a job offer from a different residency and I only have till tomorrow to accept or decline, but I’m still really interested in UCSF. Wondering the odds that UCSF would send an offer early… I don’t know how people deal with the anxiety of job offer deadlines when the first offer they get isn’t from their first choice but they’re given a deadline
  4. Finished the last perioperative interview this morning. Does anyone know if they check the references of everyone who interviews in the last round for each track or if it's only if you're selected?
  5. Is this a residency program?
  6. Wow, this makes a lot of sense. I was just figuring they were ridiculously picky LOL
  7. Looks like mission bay sent out their rejection emails, I got one at 11pm
  8. Yes, there's always mission bay, crossing my fingers for you. It was Aine who called me!
  9. Yes it is Thank you!! This is for Parnassus, I think the Mission Bay stuff is still pending
  10. Someone said they were invited to interview with two different tracks but they're the only person I heard that from
  11. I just got a call inviting me to the third and final round of OR interviews! Turns out they're interviewing 7 people and hiring 4!
  12. Rejection emails for the adult medicine track just got sent out
  13. I took up 14 minutes by the time I was done asking my own questions and doing my final thank you, what about you? There were 5 questions and it took around 11 minutes to get through my last answer before they opened it up to questions from me. Does anyone know how many people the OR is hiring?
  14. I'm sure the style of questions is going to vary by track but I wasn't asked any "What would you do if..." questions (though I've heard other people in other tracks got some of those). I was however asked all of the questions I dread answering most LOL. The fact that I was by myself interviewing with a panel of 6 different people, some of whose expressions were hard to read was definitely anxiety inducing, but part of me wonders if they intimidate you on purpose to see how you'll hold up in high pressure operating room situations!
  15. Honestly it's hard to tell how it went and what the interviewers were thinking. Someone got up and left while I was speaking (and of course with zoom that person becomes the main speaker that you're looking at) and it completely threw my confidence LOL. I don't think it went badly per se but there are definitely some questions that I wish I had answered differently!
