CSULB RN-BSN Pros: you get a preceptorship which I thought was valuable. It’s a great school. It will be moving online for RN-BSN. Some class days it’s asynchronous, others synchronous. They took my Pathophysiology credit from community college. Lots of opportunity for financial aid. Cons: it is really hard. A lot of work. Extremely paper heavy (the preceptorship has 3 ten page papers and a six page paper along with a PowerPoint presentation on top of other quizzes assignments and 135 hrs of clinical.) Students taking one class and working as a new grad are struggling. The 400 classes can’t be taken in the Summer. I have a few classmates from my ADN cohort at Fullerton. It doesn’t seem as demanding as Long Beach, but it’s a lot of work. They can take nursing courses over the Summer. If you don’t have a desire to go to CSULB specifically I’d look into Fullerton or Dominguez Hills. Or even an easier RN-BSN that works better with working RNs
