  1. I just heard back! I never asked how many they were hiring. Did they mention that to you? Rooting for you! It seems like they have a really great unit culture.
  2. I interviewed yesterday and was contacted for a second interview and THIS would be my best advice. Have a big glass of water with you, a pen and paper in case you need to write anything, and reheorifice ~5 answers that could work for many different questions (ex: a situation where you maintained dignity that could also work as an example of how you handled a difficult situation). They want to know who we are, so think about a few words you would use to describe yourself as a nurse and try to emphasize how you embody one or two of those characteristics across all answers.
  3. For anyone still waiting, I just got an email
  4. Has anyone had their status change or received notification that they won’t be extended an offer? I was told I would hear (good or bad) last week but I still haven’t heard anything.
  5. @cheekyrnrn Did you also interview with a panel of PCU nurse managers? I did and haven’t heard back yet but I’m crossing my fingers. I don’t *think* any of them were neuro/stroke but I could be wrong. BIG congrats @HellloRN ! Hoping to join you soon!
  6. Good to know! Hopefully it doesn’t mean anything/means something good ?
  7. Is anyone else’s status “consideration for interview” when they’ve already interviewed?
  8. I haven’t heard back yet. They told me I would hear back some time this week. Congrats @nyrse !!
  9. They said they would be interviewing all week so not to worry if I didn’t hear anything this week, but they made it seem like I would hear good or bad news definitely some time next week.
  10. It went okay! It was a panel-style interview for me. I was the only applicant in the room. I was nervous but the interviewers were very kind. Mostly scenario-based questions, nothing surprising or too confusing. It was very quick too, less than an hour. How was it for you?
  11. Hi Pearjuice, I just got an interview for this application cycle and you seem pretty knowledgeable so I wanted to ask--what materials did you bring with you/email ahead of the interview? I'm not sure if I should bring a portfolio or just scratch it and bring copies of my resume. I wasn't given any instructions. Hi Jazzies, I applied for this cycle and I'm wondering if you could share what you brought to the interview with you as far as materials (portfolio, just your resume, letters of rec?).
  12. Thank you. I believe it is onsite, but maybe I'll be surprised. The call was quick--we decided on a day and they said I would be receiving further info and a reference check via email. I'm an external applicant but I'm not applying for a speciality unit so it's probably less competitive for me.
  13. I was also scheduled for an interview next week (not L&D). Does anyone know what we should bring? I read on another thread (maybe from this time last year) that applicants were asked to not bring portfolios? Do they even want letters of recommendation or are they just doing a reference check? Do I email the materials or bring a million copies? Do I just show up with a resume? Thanks and rooting for everyone!
