Hey, sorry for the late reply; we just finished up midterms. UCLA SON does not call applicants in regard to their general application/ supplemental application. Currently, right now transfer_nursingstudent and I are near the end of our Winter quarter, and so far, it has been a good experience. our cohort is very close, the administration is very supportive, and classes aren't too difficult if you come from a quarter system CC. You are correct that the BSN program is 3 years long. Many of our classmates did opt to minor in public health but note that you should complete your minor in your first year as the last 2 years are heavily filled with nursing classes and clinicals. personally I did not, as I have to balance school and other responsibilities and therefore do not have the time for it, but it is possible!

Prerequisite courses do expire after a certain amount of time but I believe it differs between schools. For UCI courses expire after 5 years.

You need to complete 2 courses in a foreign language either in high school or in CC to fulfill IGETC if that is what you’re asking. But they do not ask for proof of you speaking your native language if that is what you are referring to.

Hey everyone, im applying for fall 2022 as well. I’m feeling super anxious waiting for decisions to release. I’m a 3rd year CCC student. my states are: My cumulative GPA is 3.84, I have all pre-reqs and recommended pre-reqs completed except for biochem because it’s not offered at my college. I have 1600 hours of being an EMT on an ambulance and 700 hours of volunteer service in a leadership position. I also speak 2 languages fluently. I got accepted to a couple of other nursing programs but UCI is my #1 so we’ll see how everyone goes. Good luck to all of you ?
