  1. I graduated in 2023. I did the on-campus track and it was ROUGH that first month of 4th quarter. We had to scramble and get all the skills checked off that everyone already had done in the first 3 quarters within that first week of 4th quarter because we had to start clinicals asap. All the instructors were amazing (especially Rebecca Lewis). The only negative experience was that I was paired with a horrible preceptor.
  2. Hello, I actually got accepted into a different program that is local so I wouldn't be able to tell you about the ISU program but someone I know that did ISU did say that finding her own clinical sites was a challenge. I wish you the best of luck with everything!
  3. For those of you who just graduated- how soon can you take the NCLEX after graduation? How soon did you receive the authorization to test?
  4. Hello! I think their application cycle ends 9/1 but I was accepted into a different program that’s local.
  5. I opted for the traditional option since it’s shorter. I didn’t think they would call or email on saturdays but Tamara (I think that’s her name) called me this morning!
  6. I just got the call this morning! I’ll be starting this Fall!
  7. Hey Linda, Did the nursing program also align with LCC’s academic calendar regarding breaks (Spring break, Winter break) or does the program follow their own schedule for breaks?
  8. Hey! Those are great questions and I would love to know as well. I applied this year just like you. if you don’t mind me asking… what were your scores last year and what are they this cycle?
  9. Thank you ? I found your earlier post and it looks like we have the exact same combined score of both tests!
  10. Yessss, it’s all I think about. if you don’t mind me asking, what were your scores? If you remember. Where did you do your clinicals and preceptorship?
  11. Oh gosh that’s so far away from now! This waiting game is brutal LOL
  12. ☺️?For those of you who were accepted, how long after the application deadline were you notified? Also, did they call or email? do they let you know if you didn’t make it? thanks for any info
  13. What is a Kaplan Fundamentals exam? Is it like the KNAT? TEAS?
  14. Can anyone share your prerequisite grades and Kaplan score? I’m so nervous.
  15. Hello Firefox.. by the “new book,” (I know this thread is a few years old) but was the book yellow? im taking the Kaplan in two weeks. I scored a 78% on the TEAS and I got the same exact score twice. I feel like I’m going to do so bad on the Kaplan too ? did you think the TEAS was harder or easier? thanks!
  16. Hey Alyssa! thank you. I am crossing my fingers! Do you remember your scores for the TEAS and Kaplan?
  17. That was the application cycle I initially wanted to apply for but we lost our housing situation and just now starting to get back on our feet! Do you think the Kaplan was "easier" than the TEAS? Do you know what area of study it emphasized more on? (Meds, delegation, nursing laws) And how were your clinicals? Where did you go and did you enjoy it ? Sorry so many questions.
  18. I scored so low on my TEAS (both attempts I scored exactly 78%). I am beating myself up about it and almost makes me not want to try for the Kaplan because I think I won't be accepted. When I logged into access resources, I thought I only saw RN study material. I'll have to take a look again. Thanks!
  19. Hey DaniJeanB, I believe you just add them up!! Those are amazing scores. May I ask what you used to study for the Kaplan? Did it emphasize more on medications, delegations, and/or nursing laws?
  20. Hello, for the Kaplan Transitions exam, do you recommend any NCLEX PN study guide? someone mentioned to me that the Transitions exam was more geared toward nursing delegating knowledge. Did you find this to be accurate? thank you
  21. Would love to hear if you were accepted!!
