Hey. I'm currently in the ABSN program. It's pretty intensive and we are on the hill for classes at least 2 days a week and also in person for clinical or skills lab another 2 days a week, every week. I know that varies with each term though. Most of my cohort struggled with the commute at first (busses, biking etc) and that was driving from close distances. No one lives far away as most people moved closer for school. I personally can't imagine commuting by plane with this schedule. From everything I know, they do not allow hybrid or online classes for certain people. Everyone attends class in person. If you are accepted, you're accepted into a certain cohort with a certain start date so registering for classes isn't an issue and there isn't a time urgency of getting into a class first because you are on a certain track with the rest of your cohort. Several of my classmates have children and seem to make it work well though. Based on my experience so far and what I have heard, clinicals are each week of the term for the most part. I would say if you're accepted and plan to go to OHSU, you have to really plan to give it your all and that takes a lot compromise! It's suuuper intensive!
