Good luck to everyone. Did anyone get accepted/apply to other schools? Columbia (waitlisted) and I was accepted to Hopkins here with a decent sized scholarship... I am not sure about the NYU program. I live in NYC... major draw back for me is its a second bachlors degree and getting loans will be even more annoying. I also don't think NYU gives any merit based scholarships with their admissions decisions. The appealing part is its 15months and of course its NYC. The rent prices in the city are beyond insane again...

it won't be till April I'm sure...any one also concerned with how this program seems to be a large disconnect between admissions and the "actual program" itself. You call Rory Meyers SON and they can't seem to answer any questions and you're directed to call downtown to the undergraduate main admissions office. It's a bit "off putting".

Hey guys. I applied very late to JHSON. Thankful they extended their deadline...I started my application on February 26th and was verfied/completed by March 2nd. I received my acceptance email Tuesday night March 15th at 10:56pm (eastern time). Yes 10:56pm! LOL I am sharing this info because I have found it valuble during applications to be able to read past forums to get a sense of the craziness/random info/timelines for admissions in general. BTW: I was told that since I applied so late that I would not hear anything until mid - late April. My point is, you can never go by anything admissions (from any school) tells you, stuff/info is all over the place. I also received a generous scholarship with my offer. I am excited to attend the #1 program in the US - Johns Hopkins. FYI: I was waitlisted at Columbia ( a #5 school - go figure) and still waiting to hear from NYU. Thankful to learn Hopkins is rated the number one school for male nursing as well! My stats: 38 yr old- Male, Undergrad: NYU2009 - AAS Dental Hygiene / NYU2014- BS (GPA: 3.4 - not the greatest), Occupation: Dental Hygienist full time since 2009, Pre-requisites: All A's except for B+ in Stats, also had taken General Chemistry 1 & 2 and Organic Chemistry 1 & 2 (all A's) which I believe strenghtened my profile a lot (I was always planning on dental school - haha - thats a long story). Hope this info helps exsiting applicants and future applicants who will be reading this forum eventually. Feel free to reach out with questions.

That is great to hear they started accepting students last Friday... may I ask when you applied and what time you received the email?

that's exciting! I believe they send out emails pretty late east coast time as well... so could happen in the next two hours! fingers crossed.

Thank you for the heads up! It would be wonderful to get some news (hopefully good news) today. Did you personally speak with someone on the phone? Their website states they are still accepting applications.

Surprised the JHSON website still says, "accepting applications" for Fall 2022.

Good luck to you. when did you apply to JHSON? Also, I noticed you got into Columbia. Congrats... they are both expensive programs but among the best. When will you find out about your local schools?

I belive if you applied before march 1st you're likely to know early April.

Thank you for all that info! That schedule makes the program highly appealing! So its about 110K? total?

Also bernadette could you please tell us what you schedule was like during the first sequence? day/times? Did you have any weekdays off? I think columbia has off fridays (or its online -in the Summer) I am trying to see if its feasible to commute from long Island or if I'll need to get an apartment again here in the city.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the program. For the accelerated 15 month ABSN what is the actual tuition cost. Just the tuition.

Hey everyone... I have applied for the advanced 15 month track. I graduated from NYU back in 2014 and doing a complete career change into nursing. Good luck to everyone! Few QUESTIONS: 1) Anyone been able to calculate the total cost for ONLY tuition for the 15 months? 2) Is anyone wondering why NYU has not jumped on the band wagon and offering a direct masters entry program? The ABSN and MSN are virtually the same thing at the end of the day... I get that... and they all lead to the same outcome as far as RN --> Advanced Practice Nursing. It is just mentally tiring to know youre moving laterally (at first) and not upward in education degree. NYU is a great school don't get me wrong. 3) Also, I believe it will be hard to get federal loans because this is treated as a second bachelors correct? Need to do private? 4) How many clinical hours does a student typically get within this 15-month program?

Earth bender, did you do anything specifically with CUSON in order to get recognized off the waitlist? Provide any followups?

I spoke with admissions today. They said we will likely know in the next few weeks before April. Good luck to you as well!

Hello Everyone, I was excited to see JHSON is still accepting applications for the MSN entry for this fall. I just applied this weekend. Does anyone know when application decisions will be announced for students applying so late in the cycle? I am surprised they still are accepting applications given this is the #1 program in the US.
