  1. This helps a lot thank you! Unfortunately, Elmhurst did not offer me as much money as I thought they would. For now Rush has offered me the most money and I think I am highly considering them for my graduate studies. You're insight definitely helped, good luck with your future studies!
  2. Hello! I was just accepted but I will likely be declining. Wishing everyone the best with their future studies!
  3. I'm from Chicago so I'll just be staying with my parent until I finish school.
  4. I just decided to put my deposit down for Rush and I will be attending in the fall! I just received an email where I received a decent amount for a merit scholarship from Rush and honestly that was enough to convince me. When I called the financial aid office they said we would probably hear back from them by the end of the week if we're lucky but normally it would take about 3 weeks to process all of the financial aid stuff. Now I'm just waiting for my actual financial aid package and we'll just see what the next steps are. See you guys in the fall! If someone has already started a Group chat/ facebook group let me know!
  5. It's about a 16-17k difference. The cost for the year which includes Summer classes as well at Elmhurst is 31k. From my understanding Elmhurst provides students with all their books they need for school and it is downloaded on ipad which students keep, which is kinda nice to not have to worry about the extra costs of books. I'm unsure about their affiliated hospitals but I assume through some Google search it is either Elmhurst hospital and Northwestern memorial? Yeah I really like the volunteers opportunities at Rush, I want to give back to my community and since it's in the city that would be a great thing to take advantage of. On that note, have you been able to view your financial aid package Rush or gotten an email with the login info to view all the provided info?
  6. Congrats! I'm still torn between this program and Rush. I would love to hear why you have decided to accept Elmhurst's offer, I just want to be able to gain more insight on the program or the feelings people may have.
  7. I was also accepted into DePaul but as you mentioned I am possibly going to deny their offer. I was only offered loans and the program is quite expensive for only a MS RN title. I am also waiting to hear back from UIC but I think I just want to try to make a decision between Rush and Elmhurst since we only have a week to save our seat. Rush was my top choice but because Elmhurst also offers the titles of MSN RN CNL at a lower cost I'm kind of stuck on making a decision. Also, Elmhurst's cohort is 24 students so I'm still not too sure how to feel about that.
  8. Congratulations! Are you going to accept the offer?
  9. Thank you! Don't lose hope, wherever you end up you'll accomplish great things! Do you have some insight on Elmhurst's program? I was also accepted into their program and now I'm stuck making a decision. I know the cost of attendance was less at Elmhurst which is why I applied since they offer the same credentials as Rush but I'm still not sure.
  10. Just heard back, I was accepted! Has anyone else heard back?
  11. Hello, congrats on almost finishing! I love the values that Rush holds in their program but it is expensive. How soon were you able to view your financial aid award letter and was the aid offered enough? Also, if you were accepted to other programs how were you able to make a decision? I applied to other programs near/ in the city of Chicago including Elmhurst, DePaul, Rush, and UIC so if you have any information on them too that would be helpful!
  12. You don't know how much this helps! I also just got accepted into DePaul and I'm waiting to hear back from Rush and UIC. I know that the programs at Rush and Elmhurst are similar in the sense that you can obtain a CNL certificate but how did you decide between both programs? I also just have questions about how you are funding your education, I know graduate programs are expensive so is financial aid enough? Also, are there opportunities to volunteer and do extra work outside of the program? Rush and Elmhurst are my two programs of choice and I was able to attend an info session for Rush where they had a big emphasis on giving back to the community. I like that component but I'm wondering if Elmhurst is able to offer such opportunities.
  13. Did you end up attending Elmhurst? If so do you have any feedback from the program. I was recently accepted but I'm still weighing in my options. Thanks!
  14. I submitted my application the day it was due I believe on 1/15 very late in the night. I got an email notification stating that there was an important status update and it gave me a link to the status update page. There was a video that played and then my acceptance letter was there.
  15. I heard back about week ago and was admitted. I'm still waiting to hear back from a couple of schools to make a final decision. I'm also waiting to receive my financial aid package so that I can see how it compares to other schools.
