Thanks so I wouldn’t need to send any other transcript from the other schools? I’m looking at ucla right now. I actually didn’t get in the last cycle so I’m trying again. I didn’t realize you needed to have a 4.0 and be a freakin doctor in order to get accepted into the program. I’ve talked to people with more volunteer experience than me and they still didn’t get in. It’s just crazy!

I live in another state so I’m kinda thinking just do the BSN to get it over with and then do my masters in my home state in like another year or two while working

This is random but I’m sort of having second thoughts about doing the masters as well just because of costs. Do you guys know if they would just let us do the accelerated BSN part (first part) and skip the masters if we don’t want that anymore?

So I'm looking into MEPN programs. I was a bit bored and read that California state schools will automatically submit transcripts to the BRN at the end of the program to take the NCLEX and get your license but then I also read that if you do a master's entry into nursing in California, it may be different. What was your experience? This is specifically for those that have been in the MEPN program or know that process. I took several prerequisites from different colleges. Will I need to submit those school transcripts directly to the BRN as well when its time the get my license or is your nursing school transcript from the MEPN program sufficient enough because I assume it would show all the work from other schools combined in the MEPN program when we had to submit those transcripts to the nursing school upon acceptance? I hope that makes sense. I love stressing myself out!

Same I was recently as well. Tbh with how little they accept I’m like is it even worth it to try again. Hoping by some miracle they actually open up more space and allow more people per cohort than like 3 LOL

Oh cool OK thanks also if I may ask. On the health reqs it also says we need a physical within 6 months of entrance does this mean we don’t do the physical before entering? Like we have to do it during the first semester?

Hi guys, I'm going to be applying for another semester and this is totally random but upon acceptance is when you go to get BLS certified right? The program itself is 2 years but BLS only lasts 2 years from when you get certified (which would be before classes start) so I assume towards the end of our second year of classes we'll need to scramble to renew since we'll still be in school? Im definitely thinking about this critically lmao. Anyone with knowledge about this.

I’m not delusional. I have an idea of where this is going. I’d just like closure. We worked really hard and I think we deserve that. I think leaving people in the dust is honestly rude of them. Why let people keep thinking they have a chance?

I had emailed them too and they never emailed back. I’m starting to think they’re ignoring or hiding from us lmao ?

Thanks to the people that replied to my message! Was feeling really down in that moment and it’s nice to know I don’t share this struggle alone. This journey is just harder than I anticipated. Still holding some hope for UCI. Was accepted elsewhere but kind of wanted to stay in California so I’m not really sure where I’m going to go from here. The prospect of taking another year just to apply again does stress me out though. Whatever happens, happens. I’m proud of everyone. We’re going to be amazing nurses and I hope one day I get to work with some of you!

Congrats on Western! I’m just bummed because ucla was my choice! I’ll be OK though. Like you said “onwards!”. They’re missing out on a couple of amazing students and they’re gonna have to live with that. That’s on periodt

OK so straight up rejected from ucla so I’m not feeling confident anymore for uci. I feel sick to my stomach RN. I really hate this guys. I feel like a failure. I can’t imagine uci will be an acceptance if I haven’t heard back yet

They made us wait longer and till 11ish pm all to reject us.

yep got a rejection letter as well. I’m absolutely gutted. I should be taking this better but I’m pissed? I had near perfect grades and somehow couldn’t even make it on the waitlist? I’ll be OK I guess. Congrats to everyone that got in.
