  1. Hi everyone! I was just accepted as well, but will also probably be releasing my spot. Good luck, future nurses!!
  2. Join the facebook group! I think this will work! https://www.facebook.com/groups/628785858219858/
  3. Woo hoo! Congrats! I moved from Chicago at the beginning of the pandemic (finished my MPH online and got a remote job), so I am excited to move back! I have been looking at apartments on apartments.com using the filters, but I really have no idea what I am doing for housing yet. I have a 1 year old dog and a car that I did not have last time I lived in Chicago, so that will play a role. And imagine I will know more of a housing budget once I get my financial aid package. I am thinking I will schedule to go look at a few places in May. What about you? Where are you coming from?
  4. That's great! Yes, I am definitely anxiously awaiting my financial aid package as well. As far as I am aware, I do not think there has been a group made. Should I make one?
  5. Wow - that is a big price difference. I have not yet been able to view my financial aid package. From last years thread timeline (which does have differences from ours, so things could have changed again this year), it seems like admitted students received merit-based scholarships with their acceptance packet and financial-based scholarships through the portal (which some people reached out to (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) for login credentials). I will probably reach out to her mid-week if I don't hear anything before. I will keep you posted though! And please let me know if you hear/receive anything as well!
  6. Congratulations!! I am so excited! I've been looking for a facebook group to connect with others who are going, but I don't think one has been made yet.
  7. Is the cost difference significant? I honestly know almost nothing about Elmhurst. 24 does seem small, but maybe that could be a good thing? Do they have an affiliated hospital? I am excited about Rush because their pipeline to DNP (while not formal) seems worth it. As well as the curriculum and clinical hours are rigorous, it's located in the city, and the volunteer opportunities are awesome. I can't wait to hear where you choose!! IDK if I can be of any help with your decision, but let me know if I can!
  8. I've read so many Rush threads on AllNurses and it seems like they pull a lot from their waitlist, so don't be discouraged! I was waitlisted at UIC last year, but never knew where I stood on the waitlist or how many students were pulled from it, and then was eventually denied in late July. So the good news is you have a number!! Hoping for the best news for all of you!
  9. Thank you! You as well! Rush was always my top choice, so I do believe I am going to accept. I was accepted to DePaul (but now am certain I will decline), but am still waiting to hear back from UIC and MGH. Rush's program has always just felt like the right fit for me. I've worked so hard to get to this position over the past handful of years, so I am beyond excited (and definitely still in shock)! Are you only considering Elmhurst and Rush? Which way are you leaning??
  10. Hi everyone! I was accepted as well!
