  1. Hey! So in order for you to apply to UM or any other residencies, you have to contact the people in charge of the nurse residencies. So you can just call the hospital and ask to be transferred to the people in charge of the nurse residency or HR. For UM specifically, the way it works is that they usually open up the residency applications on a random day that nobody knows since they don't announce it on their website. So you need to contact someone from UM and find out the day or the month that they will open it. Sometimes they don't even tell you the exact day, so you have to constantly check their website every morning. It's important for you to have an idea of when they will open it because they usually only open it for a day. Good luck!
  2. Hey guys! Was anyone from this post got offered at position with UM? They still haven't contacted me.
  3. I haven't received any call or email. They said that we were supposed to hear back by the end of last week and nothing
  4. They also told me that by this week we were supposed to be contacted and nothing. I don't understand...
  5. Did you end up doing the zoom meeting?
  6. For this cohort starting in October, I don't think so. I applied to it as well as other people here, and we were not selected not even for the interview because they only want internal applicants. It really sucks ?
  7. Ohh! Did they say if they had days and nights? Or just nights?
  8. For those that interviewed already, did they tell you what units they had available?
  9. I know! This is terrible! What are you planning on doing?
  10. This is just ridiculous. I feel like they should've said this from the beginning to not waste our times. It's just so hard being a new grad because all of these residencies only have a few spots and those spots that are left, they want to hire only their internal applicants. And it's like we're too new and inexperienced for other places but they won't even give us the chance to get the experience.
  11. Did any of you receive the email from Baptist saying that you were not selected? I can't believe that they would only hire internal applicants. They should've stated that in the beginning before we even applied to not waste our times.
  12. Hi! I also did the screening for South Florida and I haven't heard anything yet. The start date should be on October 7th if I'm not mistaken.
  13. Hi Ella! Have you heard anything from UM? I just got called for an interview!!
  14. Oh really you're doing it today? I thought that the last day was August 23rd, last Friday.
  15. Yeah we should hear back either this week or the next two weeks. I'll let you know if they reach out to me.
  16. Hi! So I know that their last day for the screening was on Friday. By any chance have you heard back from them this week? I haven't.
  17. Hi! So I completed my screening. The lady said that we should back within 3 weeks. Let me know if they reach out to you, I'll do the same too.
  18. Yes it did, I applied about two weeks ago.
  19. I believe that they do. You can search up online HCA careers and add all of the hospitals in south Florida to your search, you should be able to find one for new grads.
  20. Thank you! Did she mention what units were available or what was the starting pay? I'm considering Baptist but an HCA facility is hiring and they would like me to start now at a medsurge unit. I don't know if I should continue to wait for Baptist.
  21. Does anyone know what kind of questions they will be asking on the screenings?
