  1. HIPAA and Clinical Sites

    Hello, I am beginning an ABSN program in Spring 2022. Several of my clinicals will take place at a hospital where I received ER treatment for a substance abuse disorder in 2016. I have been doing well since this time and am excited for this next professional chapter in my life. I have been reassured by several people that HIPAA will protect this health information, but I would appreciate any feedback. I am quite concerned that this information from my past could affect my clinical experience. Thank you!
