Hi I took my exam this month and what really helped me was nursehub, I didn't really use pocketprep that much. For nursehub I focused more on the math and A&P section because the reading section had really long passages and I just could not focus. nursehub will teach you everything you need for math. like Lucky said you need to know all your units for converting. I memorized the gallon man, king henry mnemonic, etc. if you can answer the nursehub questions for math you will be ready for that section 100%. for A&P I used my old notes from class but also any practice question that I could find online. you never know what you don't understand until you see a question for it. I struggled more with endocrine system because that's one of the chapters that my professor skipped so if your class skipped some chapters try to watch some Youtube videos on it and get some practice questions. I mainly recommend taking the breaks when you need them. I wish I took a break, I would have done much better in reading comprehension haha. 4 hours is a long time I really doubt anyone runs out.

Damn I am so sorry to hear that. Only by two points ? When I got a nursehub account I saw this there: "You can take the HESI exam only once every 60 days but no more than 3 times in a 12-month period." When is the last day that we can submit the application and scores? According to this 60 day thing you can take the exam again March 30.

The time wasn't showing on my computer either which made me so paranoid about running out of time. I had 2 hours left when I finished though, smh. If there was a timer on my computer I would have definitely relaxed a little bit, LOL. Now we have to wait until April-June to hear back, good luck to us all!

thank you! I thought I was killing it and then I saw I got an 80 ? it was the last section I took though so I guess I was just tired by this point. definitely recommend taking the break to those that haven't taken the exam yet. I wish I had done it, maybe gone to the bathroom and splashed some cold water on my face to refresh myself.

Has anyone else used their pre-med Chemistry classes to meet the pre-nursing Chemistry requirements?
Oh okay thank you I think I understand this time. The classes I took were General Chemistry 1 and 2 with lab and the class the program specifically asks for is called Essentials of General Chemistry 1 with lab. I keep thinking since what they wanted was just the essentials then maybe the one I took is good enough because it goes beyond the essentials. I'm trying to get in contact with the school but so far no one is really replying to my email or answering the phone, I will keep trying though.

Hi thank you for your reply. I am a little confused though, are you saying they will take whichever Chemistry you have a higher grade in or they won't? your second and last paragraph contract each other a little bit.

Hmm I don't remember but when I was registering for the exam all I needed was to input the department ID and the rest of the steps were self-explanatory. These are the directions I used to register, you can find them on the nursing section of the Lehman website: LC-BSN-Distance-Testing-2020-2021.pdf

Has anyone else used their pre-med Chemistry classes to meet the pre-nursing Chemistry requirements?
Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone else has gone through something similar. In my previous degree, I took 1 year of inorganic Chemistry classes that pre-med students take. One of my advisors told me that it would be unnecessary for me to take the 1 semester inorganic Chemistry class that the pre-nursing students take but I took the lecture anyway as a refresher for organic Chemistry. I didn't take the lab though. This advisor isn't the nursing advisor anymore. There's a new one and when I spoke to her I got a little nervous. She was looking at my transcript and this is the conversation we had: Her: you can't apply, you didn't take the inorganic Chemistry lab. Me: I was told that my pre-med inorganic Chemistry classes could cover for that. After being silent for a few seconds she says "okay, I think you'll probably be fine." I'm freaking out because of that "probably" LOL. What if the person reviewing my application goes through the same thought process? "No inorganic lab, throw this application out." I have A's in all my prereqs but my school does not do interviews. I feel like I would have had an opportunity to explain all of this in an interview and feel much better about the uncertainty. They also don't do letters of recommendations. They just look at GPA and HESI A2 scores, which I am taking next month.
