  1. Ooooh, congrats! If you don't mind me asking, did you have any prior experience in critical care or do your preceptorship in the ICU?
  2. During the phone screening, I was told that the recruiter would be calling candidates to schedule in person interviews by the end of the day today! So if you haven't heard anything yet, I think we're both out of the running, unfortunately.
  3. it was my personal email! and they just sent a clarification email stating that no applicants have received final notifications.
  4. I had 81 points! and the email just said that I'm a candidate, so I'm not sure if final decisions have been made?
  5. hey! I just got an email from the nursing department letting me know I was identified as a candidate for the program and asking me to RSVP to an informational zoom meeting. I actually got into a BSN program, so I don't plan on attending, but I was just curious if anyone else got this email/if it means you were accepted.
  6. I was accepted into a BSN program, and I just reached out to Saddleback via submittable (I hope that was the right place to do it?) to let them know that I won't be attending. So hopefully someone else off the waitlist will be offered my spot soon!
  7. I got rejected, but it's OK. I'm really happy with the programs I did get accepted to. congrats everyone, and good luck!!
  8. the confirmation email I got after submitting my application said the review would last 2 months, so I'm thinking May? but I'm not sure
  9. hey, I made a FB group for our cohort! https://www.facebook.com/groups/759594862226635/
  10. definitely not LOL, I got an email recently informing me that I didn't submit my official transcripts by the deadline and was disqualified. I definitely didn't do a good job of keeping track of CSUF deadlines, oops. but hopefully that means they'll send out interview invites soon?
  11. Goldenwest college in HB. they just changed their points system so no one knows what to expect LOL, but they do reserve 10 spots for a lottery of qualified applicants, so there's always a chance
  12. did you guys apply to any ADN programs? there's one near me that still has applications open through tomorrow if you're panicking, haha
  13. for all the people in the earlier time slots, how did it go? how was the interview portion? would love to hear what kind of questions you got, if you're comfortable sharing. I'm scheduled for 3pm!
  14. not yet, I tried to schedule an appointment with student health online but it says I'm not eligible?? I think I have to call them
  15. congrats!! how many points did you end up with?
  16. I just looked and I don't see it anywhere, but I thought I remembered seeing the cut off for Spring 2023 posted not too long ago. I think maybe they took all the info down for Spring, hopefully they'll update with the cut off for this semester sometime in the next few months. looking back at the thread for Spring 2023, it seems like the cut off for initial acceptances might have been around 82 points. I know sometimes things are more competitive in the fall because there are a higher volume of applicants, but I'm still surprised you didn't get in with 85 points. hopefully you're really high on the alternates list!
  17. nothing yet, but I'll definitely keep an eye out for the next week or so and report back if I see anything. tbh I'm not feeling incredibly optimistic about the UCs, though, but its OK. I got an acceptance email from my backup program today, and I'm optimistic about a couple others. my stats came out looking a lot better for the cal states and CCs.
  18. I got in with 92 points. but hopefully I'll be giving up my spot to someone on the alternate list, if I get into a BSN program or even an ADN program that's a little closer to home for me! ?
  19. congrats!! I just got my acceptance email as well!
  20. oh okay, good to know, thanks! that's also the general impression I've been under, that GWC and saddleback are fairly similar. the one thing I do know about GWC is that they do at least some of their clinicals at UCI, I work in the ED there and I've seen GWC nursing students. personally, that's a plus for me! although I'm not sure if students get to pick their clinical locations, maybe I should ask next time I see one, haha
  21. I'm curious to know what you've heard about the program, tbh I've only heard that its a good program but nothing specific. luckily I scored high enough on the TEAS to get full points in that category, for a total of 81 points. I'm feeling fairly optimistic about getting an acceptance, but I'm also feeling hopeful about getting into one of the BSN programs I applied to, which would be my preference. I'm looking at GWC and Saddleback as backups if the BSN programs don't pan out, and GWC is way closer and more convenient for me, but I'm curious if you've heard anything negative about the program.
  22. hi!! thank you so much for all of the info, I think we all really appreciate it! as someone who would be commuting from HB and is extremely not a morning person, that schedule sounds a little rough, haha, almost enough to make me reconsider staying at home during the program. I'm wondering how much flexibility, if any, you have in scheduling clinical shifts? are there any options to do night shifts, maybe? also, you mentioned that you quit your job due to the demands of the program. I'm planning on working an average of one 12 hr shift per week, and I'm lucky to have a lot of flexibility with my work schedule. I'm curious to know if you think that this would be doable during the program, based on your impression so far?
  23. yeah, the interview with CSUF is definitely new. I (attempted) to apply to their program last fall, it was the only one I was eligible for at the time with in progress prereqs, but I had an issue with getting my archived AP scores in time. Last fall was their first time ever accepting upper division BSN transfers so I think they're still figuring out how to go about evaluating applicants. I actually haven't even checked on what's going on with my CSUF application, and if we were supposed to send transcripts I may have accidentally disqualified myself again, LOL oops. Maybe they still have my stuff on file from last year.
