    Good advice!! I’m lucky that my state is a compact state, so that leaves open many opportunities. California is the big one…. Federal jobs only. So weird…

    It is a training program offered by many hospitals. Generally, they pay you to train, in exchange for a commitment. Essential, in my opinion, since working in the OR is like no other type of Nursing.

    I graduated July 2014, passed NCLEX Sept 2014, and started working as a RN July 2015. I had previously been a Paramedic, since 1989. Only regret….not doing it sooner! I truly love the OR and thanks to the PeriOp101 program, got on the job training. No need or desire to ever work on a floor. Encouraging everyone to LPN-RN, Paramedic-RN. You won’t regret it!
