  1. I got into College of the Canyons and LA Harbor College. I also talked to a nursing guidance counselor at Santa Monica College before I applied and it sounded like they care more about grades than work experience, so that’s another school you could try. CSULB definitely looks at GPA and TEAS over experience, pretty sure Long Beach City College picks almost everyone from a lottery, and I THINK Glendale City College is another school that doesn’t count work experience as much as the other schools. If you're still nervous about not getting in, then you can get a CNA license and that'll give you extra points at a few of the schools.
  2. Where are you located? I’m in Los Angeles and I was also afraid of not getting into any schools after reading all of the posts on here, but then I ended up getting into both of the programs that I applied to immediately without being waitlisted. I don’t have any volunteer or work experience, nor do I speak a second language, no degrees, and no military experience. I had a 3.95 cumulative and 4.0 science and 89.3% on my TEAS. So I think as long as you keep getting A’s then you should be fine.
