Saint Mary's University of Minnesota Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesiology - 2026
Super interesting only one individual received an invite from this thread. Maybe they can elaborate on what their email said? I would presume a mass invitation would be sent out and if we have not heard anything... then we can assume we have been denied. The most likely scenario (since we have not heard anything) would be that they are seeing who's accepting invitations and based on who accepts they will fill the open spots accordingly and then potentially send out the denial letters.

University of Providence ABSN - Thoughts and Experiences?
Alaska Department of Labor & Workforce Development - I believe it falls under the Alaska Workforce Grant. The address is 3301 Eagle St, Anchorage AK 99503. Tell the front desk that you would like to discuss the details of the Alaska workforce grant. You will fill out basic information with an employee so bring you ID, but from there they will assign you a case manager where the lengthy application process starts. You have to be in school. You cannot be graduated from a program and expect tuition reimbursement. So make sure you are enrolled!

University of Providence ABSN - Thoughts and Experiences?
Hi futureflightnurse2026, manelynmuck elaborated on their academic curriculum down in Lewiston, MT. It is almost identical to the curriculum here in Anchorage.. I believe we had different clinical dates than they had/exam times. This past year they did not notify us about our Summer break until a week or two prior and we still had academic obligations. I personally did not work through the program but I know a few did and it was quite stressful for them because we had clinical dates/exam dates that were changing. However, Alaska offers a 20k/year grant for two years for individuals who are seeking out employment but need to obtain a licensure in order to obtain that employment position. So they help cover the cost of tuition! The people who did apply (including myself) were accepted and I am extremely grateful for it! I drove up from the lower 48 to do this program! If you feel you're academically prepared, do it! You will get through it, everyone is in the same boat ?

Well, if you're worried about passing a 75% assessment standard, I don't think this UP is the program for you. You probably shouldn't be looking at John's Hopkins or Columbia either, those university are academically challenging. Check out your local community college for an associates degree! Best of luck to you ?

Yea I'm not sure what to tell you. It's 75% and most nursing schools are 75% or more. You would not want a nurse who only knows 70% of all the material anyways. If you are worried about being able to pass, you should contact UP and see what resources are available. That being said, if you get in! You will pass, just stay on top of your work.

Oh I didn't realize the rest of my comment was cut off! Our director left and I know they're figuring out new people to fill certain positions. I do know they're accepting more students now. However, don't worry if you're capable of passing, if you get in you will pass! Again you don't get any help from your professors but you and your classmates are all in the same boat and everyone is very much willing to help each other.

It's 75%. The first 16 weeks you'll have your hardest exams and then it chills out but you should expect an exam every week for those 16 weeks. To be honest you will not receive a lot of help from your professors, you have to be extremely good at time management and "figuring it out". That being said your classmates will become your befriends/support (I

@NurseSalma I graduate next month, but so far the program has been good. We receive a ton of clinical hours and have been told by many of the nursing staff that they feel University Providence students are the best equipped during clinical compared to the other schools in Anchorage. As for the didactics portion there is a ton of work to do in the first 16 weeks after that weeks can be volatile. Some weeks are incredibly filled work and others are not... I hope this helps!
