  1. It's OK to take remediation if I have the means too. But for the remediation classes it might probably costs $2k dollars. And since I am not able to work due to personal reasons it's somewhat hard too. And luckily in Nevada they will allow you to take the NCLEX and start anew with no need for any remediation courses. Unless you fail four times in their state then that's when they will require to take a refresher course. Yes I have contacted Nevada BON. And they told me I can take the exam as long as I do Toefl and pass its min score. That's the only requirement for me. Which I am happy for.
  2. I have researched on it.. and I will risk doing TOEFL. It's harder to do the Certification Program. You need to spend more. I don't advise for other foreign students. Unless you are smart and have a lot of resources to pay if you fail. What is CES?- It stands for Credentials Evaluation Services which only asks for your transcript and or license verification that you can automatically send off to your BON. Which you get through CGFNs. Whereas CP requires: 1: Taking a CGFNS qualifying exam which costs $445 and a retake of $335. This test is somewhat like NCLEX but with 260 questions. xD 2. Evaluating your college and hs credentials. 3. Requires you to take an english exam (TOEFL or IELTS I think) But it says that if you pass all of that, that certification issued by CGFNS for you will be valid forever. And when you get that certification that's the time you will get the chance to sit in for NCLEX. XD But yeah as a foreign graduate I will just take the states that requires a CES and TOEFL. xD Good luck to all of us. T.T
  3. Hello I am searching for states to take the NCLEX in to have other options if ever I fail in my state. My state is NEVADA and it requires TOEFL. I have come across South Dakota and Connecticut which asks only for a Certificate Program. I was wondering what is the difference of a CES and a Certificate Program? Also I am a graduate foreign nurse in the Philippines back in 2012. I am wondering if South Dakota or Connecticut requires TOEFL also for foreign nurses because in their BON websites requirements it doesn't say. Because I have researched that almost all 50 states requires foreign nurses to take TOEFL which asks for a minimum overall score of an 83 or 84 but speaking is 26. If South Dakota or Connecticut does require TOEFL what are the min overall score asked for speaking and everything else? Because I checked their BON (board of nursing) websites and it says it only requires a CGFNS approved Certificate Program for foreign students as its requirements. In cgfns.org website it says the same thing, but an added note saying for the english proficiency requirements that: English Exam scores not required to be resubmitted to CGFNS for CP Verification Letter. My understanding for that is you don't need to send the TOEFL scores to CGFNS for those two states. But I am wondering if there are other requirements for foreign students besides just a CP verification letter from CGFNS. I hope someone can help and answer me out.. Thank you.
  4. Yes it does. They told me that you can start anew and won't care for your failed NCLEX exams in another state. But they do require toefl for foreign graduates like me. And it's hard because they require a specific toefl score especially in speaking before you can sit for NCLEX. And I really don't have the means or resources to take it over and over again due to my situation. I am trying to find a state that doesn't require having to take TOEFL.
  5. Hello I hope someone can help me out you see I applied for BON Hawaii just recently this September 2021 and they this guidelines that was applied just Oct 2018, wherein they require that if you failed 3 times will be needing a remedial course. I was also wondering if I could switch to a different state to take my NCLEX in? I am living here in Las Vegas. The reason why I chose BON Hawaii before was because they had an unlimited NCLEX taking before, unlike in Las Vegas they require remedial courses if you failed 3 times. But Hawaii's NCLEX taking changed over the years into 3 times. I wasn't able to keep taking due to personal real life reasons which halted me to stop. And when I finally gained confidence to try again this happened. Even if I wanted to take the remedial you will also need to do the clinical portion. And Hawaii's requirements is that for remedial classes you either enroll in Hawaii University or remedial classes in Florida BON. But I don't think I can fly over to Hawaii or Florida to take clinicals because they ask for both lecture and clinical hours for remedial courses. And my other question would be is if you apply to a new state do you need to pay for another CES to send out to the BON that you are applying too? And if you can still apply to other BON even if you recently sent Hawaii a recent CES report? Because if I remember they said that if you sent one in a BON that you need to wait for that to be finished/expired before applying for a new one. Because if they still require a remedial courses I want to apply this time in the state that I live in so that I can be comfortable to do clinicals here. And how to apply for a remedial courses? And if I do pursue the remedial courses that Hawaii required how can I do clinicals when I am in Nevada? I am hoping to hear any advices that can help me. Because I am stuck and stressed out. ? This is what I finished and what I want to pursue. So please anyone help me ?
