  1. Hi Julia! Congrats on your acceptance! I'm not on facebook but if everyone else is on board with that method of communication then that certainly shouldn't be a deterrent!
  2. I think hearing about financial aid information might depend on when you filled out your FAFSA. I don't anticipate getting much aid because I've heard when it's a second bachelor's degree you get less, if any. But so far I haven't received any specific info.
  3. That is super reassuring, thank you for telling me that! I was a little concerned I'd be the only parent, tbh, so it's good to know I won't be alone in that regard and that it's possible to do both. Thank you again for all your help ?
  4. Thank you so both so much! I really appreciate your taking the time to give such thoughtful responses & for the studying tips. I do get how studying will vary as each person has different learning styles - that makes sense. I think I'm just trying to get the most accurate idea of time commitment as possible to arrange my schedule accordingly. I'm a mother, so nursing school will be my priority, but it won't be my only one.
  5. Hi all! I have also been accepted into Curry's 2022 Spring cohort and wanted to thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback and insights about the program! I don't want to bombard you with questions as I'm sure you're incredibly busy, but I was hoping you could quickly tell me on average how many hours per week you spend studying & doing assignments outside of clinical & class time? I've heard for other programs it can be over 50 hours a week, and it's hard to imagine how there'd be sufficient time for that with classes and clinicals taking up time during the week, as well.
  6. Oops, sorry for the mix up! Thank you Faith! ?
  7. Thank you so much, Jessica, for initiating that conversation! It really is so beneficial to hear other perspectives of current students or graduates. It's nice that that student has had such a positive experience so far. It's interesting to me that a lot of people are choosing between Curry and UMass Boston - it's the same for me, as well. I'm guessing because they are the two most affordable ABSN programs in the Boston area? I'm still conflicted because Curry seems like such a great program, but obviously UMass Boston is cheaper and it would be less driving for me. I feel like I've read some conflicting comments about UMass, though, so I think it'll still be a difficult decision. The more feedback from others, the more helpful it is to make such a tough decision! Thank you again for doing that!
  8. I also received a receipt confirmation right away but didn’t get an official confirmation from the school until yesterday. It’ll probably be coming soon if you haven’t gotten the email yet. Has anyone heard feedback/reviews from actual graduates of this program or even current students? I’ve found so little information from students of the Curry ABSN program and I’m not sure why - so many other schools have people who review the program or give at least some feedback about what works and what hasn’t been ideal. I honestly don’t know what to expect in many regards.
  9. Hi all! Thanks for creating this thread, Faith. I have been accepted to the Spring 2022 cohort, as well. I am also waiting to hear back from another school, but I plan on attending Curry if that falls through. I'd love to hear more about the schedule, as well. I know initially the information session says it tends to be 4 days/week (2 part-time days and 2 full days), so it's interesting that you heard it would be 3 full days instead. I actually would prefer 3 days so I don't have to drive out as much, but we'll see. I'd also be interested if they are doing more hybrid/online courses because of Covid. Do you all live close to Milton?
