Chamberlain North Brunswick Fall 2021
Ugh that’s so frustrating that they keep you waiting! Is the awards letter your financial aid that you would be receiving?

Cruz, did you hear anything yet?! I know how you were really looking forward to Monday! Also, this week I meet virtually with Peter, who is a Student Ambassador (could be incorrect about that title), but basically what my advisor said is that he would be walking me through the rest of the financial aid process, drug tests, fingerprinting, etc. Then, the day after that I have to attend the virtual new student orientation. Are you guys also attending? I hope to get my schedule soon, just so I have an idea of what a typical week would look like for me. If you guys already have your schedule, what does your week look like? Also, do we have final confirmation on what the semester is going to be like? Virtual, hybrid, fully in person?

Hi! Just wanted to inform all you that I got the call that I was accepted to the program for this upcoming session! Very excited. I have several meetings this week such as the orientation and also setting up my background check, drug test, etc. I would love to connect with others who are planning to start this upcoming session.

Hi! I’m in the same boat as you. I have everything completed and submitted in. My advisor told me that my application is being reviewed by the committee today, and I will have my final decision by tomorrow morning. I’m extremely nervous. I feel like the whole application was a little drawn out though, like I can’t believe that if I get accepted that classes will start in two weeks basically. I’m really hoping for good news tomorrow. I just hope they don’t say like oh you’re accepted but can’t start until next session because I would really like to start ASAP. For those who were accepted, what are the immediate steps after being accepted? I know a drug test needs to be complete and maybe a background check, but what else? Just hoping for good news and want to be prepared for the next step if everything goes well.

Congrats on your acceptance! I have another question for you guys. Do you guys have any credits in which you are transferring into the program? If so, do you know how much that shaves off the entire program length?

Hi Taylor! Whats tested on the HESI is English, Math, and Science. The breakdown of those is in the English portion there’s a reading comprehension section, vocabulary and general knowledge section, and grammar section. In the Math portion they are just testing basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, measurements, etc.). In the Science portion, it’s broken down into a biology section, Chemistry section, and anatomy and physiology section. The science portion only has 30 questions per section, compared to the other subjects have 55 questions per section. I’m hoping the science section isn’t too difficult, but atleast it’s doesn’t have the most amount of questions.

Thank you so much for your reply! It was honestly so helpful, and made me feel a lot better knowing that I’m not the only one feeling a little crazy about the whole process. After taking the HESI, how quickly did you find out that you were accepted? I already met with my advisor and did my transcript evaluation, so I think the HESI is the next/only thing left for me. Also, do you definitely plan on attending this upcoming semester? If so, did you register for classes? What does the semester look like? Online virtual? In class? 5 days a week? I live about an hour away from the campus so I was wondering (if accepted), if I could condense my classes into 2-3 days. Sorry for all the questions! Just a lot of thinking ahead!

I’ve been studying a ton of different quizlets for the past couple weeks. I've been trying to study mostly anatomy because I feel like that’s where I’m the most rusty. The quizlet set I’m using is about 250 terms and apparently a lot of the questions are word for word. I’m going to try and look for practice tests before Friday and maybe take one or two of them just to feel out how I do.

For those who got accepted, how were your previous credentials if you had any from previous institutes. Also, how was the HESI? This will be my first time taking it. Is the schools acceptance rate high/what do they weigh heaviest on? I was at a previous institute (not for nursing) and don’t have the highest GPA. I feel like there is such a lack of information on Chamberlain, I wish I knew more people that have graduated, or are enrolled now. Sorry for so many questions LOL! I’m feeling a little anxious about the whole process.

Hi! Its good to know they are still accepting applications for the august start. I’m hoping to be accepted and start this upcoming fall. I’m about done my application process. I take the HESI this upcoming Friday. I’m hoping it isn’t too hard. If anyone has any tips or information for beforehand let me know! I met with my advisor a couple weeks ago and went over my transcripts, financial aid, etc. The process hasn’t been too difficult. I really hope to be accepted!
