  1. anyone by any chance know how much hospitals in this area pay nurses after the 1-year residency is over?
  2. when is y'alls start date?
  3. any working at AMC at the moment? how are you all doing?
  4. wow, so how much does Grady pay total? 40 after orientation? I work at EUH and are base is 32.96, $1 more after orientation is what I heard
  5. Hey friends! I checked my application, it still said results pending, but when I go to search up my name on the licensing website, I found my name and there was a license number associated to it! What does this mean? Why haven't my application been updated but there "appears" to be a license number?
  6. Oh it does!! I didn't know that! The state took over a month to give me my ATT so I was worried it's going to take forever this time as well. Hopefully I'll find out tomorrow morning!
  7. I did the trick as well and got a good pop-up but I'm still really worried!
  8. I just took my NCLEX today!! 120 Q, felt defeated afterwards. For those of you who passed, how long did it take Georgia BON to notify you of the result? or do I really have to wait 2days for a quick result on Pearsonvue?
  9. I called and the lady said she will expedite my application and created a ticket number and someone will contact me in 72 hrs. Hopefully, I can get my ATT soon!
  10. I did everything 4/12, fingerprint 4/25, transcript 5/11. Still waiting. It's pass 20 business day. My residency program is supposed to start 7/11 so I'm worried
  11. anyone still waiting on their ATT? my degree was conferred 5/7 and submitted my transcript 5/9 and they retrieved it 5/11 but I still haven't received my ATT. I called GBON and they said they are currently processing large amt of application so they still haven't processed my transcript and background check (which are the only two items pending)...
  12. Wow, when I spoke to my recruiter early March, she said the slots for CVICU were full so I couldn't even interview with them. Anyway... I think they are probably busy. I interviewed with another hospital and still haven't heard back in 3 week(they told me I should expect to wait 3 weeks). I would email the recruiter again if it's ready over the timeframe for you. I hope you hear back soon!! All I know is, my recruiter hasn't been very helpful and she doesnt really respond to my questions or email. I had to email the nurse manager who interviewed me for confirmation of my offer.
  13. what unit? I interviewed with neuro ICU and they gave me a verbal offer but the official offer came 4 days later (and that's after I asked the manager, because I got other offer waiting response at the time) and the offer letter came another week later.
  14. I personally would have chosen utsw, it's the second best hospital in TX, it's a state hospital so better benefit and does it have 2 year contract? I don't think it does. Parkland has a 2-yr contract I think.
  15. That's really interesting, I wonder why EUH qualified since it's also a magnet hospital
  16. Is your scholarship nurse Corp? One of my classmate got the scholarship and they pay her 1.2k stipend per month which I was really surprised. I didn't apply because I thought they would require me to work in rural areas but I didn't know big city hospitals qualifies too! I deeply regret not applying when I had the chance.
  17. That was really interesting, thanks for the info. I didn't actually apply to mayo haha, I'm from the Midwest and I purposely came to the South to escape the Winter (had traumatic experience driving on ice). I was just envying the high pay, haha, but I wouldn't go there even if they offer me the 9k bonus.
  18. OMG, now I'm jealous! No wonder mayo is the best hospital in the country...
  19. 10k for a new grad going into residency program? Wowww!! that's a lot considering the first few months will be spent taking classes and preceptorship. The most for a nurse resident I've personally heard is 5k, I've seen alot of experienced RN job post that offer 10-15k though.
  20. Does anyone know what other hospitals in Atlanta is paying? I know Emory's base pay is 32.96.
  21. I also did pretty bad on the interview so it's likely because of that but I was just curious if Baylor actually prefers ICU experience. Good luck to you too and congrats!!
  22. I didn't get an offer from Baylor and I later decided to ask why, and they said it was because I didn't have ICU experience. Was just wondering if anyone has gotten accepted without it. l did get an offer to ICU at another hospital tho
  23. All of you who got an ICU offer from Baylor, have you all had ICU clinical rotation/preceptorship during nursing school?
  24. No, I don't think, they do offer relocation assistance of 2.5k... Mine came a week after.
  25. They got rid of it is what another new grad told me. I don't have the 2 year commitment on my contract either. I was offered relocation assistance that said I would need to pay it back if I leave before 12 months (not 2 year)
