  1. Just wondering if anyone has had much movement on their applications? I still have hardly any on mine, most are still in review, and 2 changed not selected. Has anyone interviewed or been offered in any of the ICU units? I'm trying to gauge whether its there all gonna eventually pass on my applications or if they are still actively interviewing
  2. Yes, all communication was through the recruiter outside of the actual interview.
  3. Sure thing! What unit did you interview for? Good luck, keep us posted on if you get an offer!
  4. Im not sure how they handle rejections, I only got an interview to the unit I received my offer from, all the other ones never reached out to interview, and those applications just said they were in review on the careers page until I accepted my offer. I'd start by checking your application status on the career page if you haven't already. Best of luck! Like I said, it did take awhile to get a response, so I wouldn't freak out & assume you didn't get it if you did not hear back quickly
  5. Email, and I will say it took a few weeks from interviewing to receiving an offer
  6. I just accepted a position in the BICU. I know its not MICU but I'd love to be able to connect with other new grads in the cohort that are in intensive care specialties, especially coming from out of state
  7. Has anybody had any movement on their application? All of my applications still say under review, no movement whatsoever
  8. Same here, no specification for day or night shift
  9. No, all my applications say application under review. I really want a CVICU interview with them, keeping my fingers crossed.
  10. I'm just excited to hear you got an email! I'm not applying to L&D but I've had no movement on my applications since the 26th, hopefully that means I should hear something this week fingers crosses! Thanks for the update and good luck!
  11. Yes I get that, I just meant since you had mentioned you are open to a few regions to maybe let them know if this first interview does not work out, you'd like to try a hospital in one of the other regions you are interested in for your second or third interview. Like my plan is to try my first 2 interviews in Dallas, but should I not be offered a job by either, my third interview I will try a different region that offers my specialty
  12. Dang that sucks. Yea my recruiter asked me what locations I was interested in and when I explained I was more interested in my preferred specialty than the location as long as its at a larger hospital she then recommended BUMC Frisko and Plano. Did you get his email address, maybe shoot him an email explaining that you're interested in both.
  13. You are only allowed one recruiter phone call. No matter which one you pick, either can set you up with any Baylor hospital you are interested in as long as they have interview spots available. My phone screen was for Dallas, first interview will be at BUMC in Dallas but she was able to have my third option be an East Texas location. They would just rather have you work with one recruiter for all of the locations you are interested in. So if you let the recruiter know you are interested in both locations they can look into opportunities at both locations for you.
  14. I interviewed this morning for their burn ICU. Should know by next week if I got an offer. My MICU and Neuro ICU application haven't had any movement, just states their in review on my application status page. How about you?
  15. Just completed my screening earlier. I was able to score an interview for CVICU at BUMC Dallas. Really hoping it goes well, this is my dream position so fingers crossed ya'll!!
  16. Same here. Filled out preference form and all my applications are still under review. I've applied to multiple ICUs, top choice being CVICU at Fort Worth.
  17. Hey! I applied and started at CCC this fall. First off your stats are just fine! I had A&P grade B overall nursing GPA 3.7 and a TEAS of 80% and I got in no problem, so I wouldn't worry about competitiveness too much. That being said, there's 165 slots at CCC, and contrary to other commenters stats, the last enrolled class only has 32 students in the cohort, so unless they are expanded slots this coming class, I'd say it is safe to say the chances of getting in based on slot availability alone are significantly better for CCC. Now I also don't know how many apply to NCCC to really look at the difference in people applying vs accepted, but I'd look into that as a factor before applying. For me, it was between CCC and NVCC and I chose CCC for closeness to my home and due to their being more slots, I wanted to give myself a higher chance of getting in. Clinicals are all within 10 min at the least to 30 at the most from CCC from what I've seen so far. As far as which program is better, I just wanna point at that CCC stats for completion rate and NCLEX pass rate may be slightly lower than NCCC, and I know NCCC keeps in the 90% range, but also keep in mind the fact that only 32 students per cohort and 25-29 people graduation from each class kind of skews the difference in stats due to CCC having literally 5x as many students. Both schools are typically talked about as two of the best of all the CT-CCNP options, so I wouldn't factor which is "better" too much into your decision, as long as you do your best and try both programs will give you the tools you need. My advice is to between now and February focus on what options gives you the best chance of getting in and how much distance commuting you can really commit to. I love CCC so far, the staff are truly amazing and they set you up for success, but I'm sure NCCC will prepare you amazingly as well, you just need to make the best, informed decision for you. Good luck!
  18. I got into capital! So so excited, I applied here and central but this was my top choice, my day is completely made!
  19. I got into Capital!! Stats: A&P: B's in both TEAS: 80% GPA: 3.7 Congratulations to all who were also accepted! For those waitlisted do not give up!
