College of the Canyons Fall 2022 Applicants
Hey guys, I got my acceptance email for the LVN-RN bridge program but will be declining my seat. I also got into another LVN-RN bridge program at another college and accepted my seat there. So whoever is #1 on the alternate waitlist, know that you will be offered a seat ☺️!

AVC Fall 2022
Not yet. When I confirmed my space, a confirmation said a packet will be sent to me shortly. I’ll ask my friend who got accepted last year, how long it took to get her packet.

AVC Fall 2022
No, the bridge. Acceptance emails for both programs tend to be sent out the same time. So I emailed ---------- to get an update about the application selection process and this is the response I got: “Good afternoon, the committee should be done reviewing applications this week. Please continue to monitor your email daily for any updates. ” So fingers crossed we hear something by the end of the week ??

AVC Fall 2022
I’m not sure when, I’m praying sometime this week ??. Last year I didn’t receive a denial email. No email at all actually :/. I’m not sure if that applies to the generic RN program as well, or LVN-RN Bridge program?

AVC Fall 2022
I still haven’t heard anything :( l. So I’m extremely nervous. My friend who got accepted last year to the bridge program got her notification on the 22nd of March, so I’m praying notifications get sent out some time this week. If you don’t mind me asking (I’m trying to calculate points in my head) are you including the points for an LVN license to have a total of 70 points, or are you excluding it and still have a total of 70 points? I hope that makes sense ?

Emails for both programs tend to go out at the same time.

I don't know an exact date on when emails should be sent out, but my friend had received hers sometime in late March when she got accepted last year. I am hoping it's still the same.

I received an email from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) on Tuesday (3/1/22), that they are currently reviewing applications.

AVC Fall 2022
Hello, First attempt I got a 70%, and the second attempt I got a 76%. The second time I took it, I did it as a proctor exam and I regret it. The first ten to fifteen minutes there was a malfunction and I had to have someone talk me through how to go about the issue. So you could imagine the level of anxiety I had. That amount of time was stolen away from my reading subject because they did not bother to stop or pause the timer. I am hoping I get in this year because I am not looking forward to having to take the new version of the TEAS after June.

AVC Fall 2022
The points are not considered differently for either program. They are universal for both programs. I believe 65 points is competitive. (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) also informed that 65 was competitive enough. I had also retaken the TEAS in Jan and just got a few points higher then my first attempt, but hey at this point I'll take whatever extra points I can get ? !

AVC Fall 2022
Hi! I applied to the LVN-RN bridge program with a total of 80 points (65 if you don't include the 15 points towards the LVN license). Has anyone else applied to the bridge program as well? Last year I was number 39 on the waitlist, but Iast I heard from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) is that they're doing a certain percentage from waitlist and another percentage from points. I'm hoping with my 80 points and number on the waitlist will do some kind of justice on getting in this year!

College of the Canyons (COC) ADN Fall 2021
I also got my rejection letter yesterday for the LVN-RN program :(. This is the second time that I have applied. First time I was on the alternate list, and didn’t get in (obviously LOL). This time around I didn’t even get to be an alternate. The application timeline on COC says they pick students by date of completed application turned in. Are they not doing that any more and doing solely lottery? I’m hoping next year I get into AVCs LVN-RN program. They’re slowly getting rid of the waitlist, but will still choose 10% of students from it and 90% by point system. My friend just got accepted into the program and I was 10 spots behind her. So crossing fingers I’ll make that 10% pulled from the waist list next year.

Anyone on here applying for the LVN-RN bridge program? I see our orientation is 4/29. Hoping letters will get sent out not long after everyone takes their TEAS

Hey guys! To those who got the invitation to take their TEAS, when are you guys taking them by? Trying to estimate when acceptance letters will be sent out for the LVN-RN bridge program. Thanks!

You should email them to double check. My best friend got an email in Feb where they claimed her GPA didn’t meet their standards, then not long after she got another email stating to disregard the first email. Supposedly they messed up on her GPA. Then this time around, she got another email stating that she was disqualified because her student ID was incorrect, even though she clearly put the correct one in. She let it go though because she recently got accepted into another RN program at AVC so she wasn’t upset about it.

I’m more then positive you will get the email tomorrow :). I wouldn’t stress about not receiving an email tonight. If it puts your mind at ease, I am applying for the LVN to RN program, so this could be why I also got an email today versus tomorrow? ? good luck!

Oh you’ll definitely get the invitation tomorrow for the TEAS. Your stats are perfect too, so I’m more then sure you’ll get into the program ??

I’m assuming they’re just sorting out applications by seeing who has already completed the TEAS. So if you took your TEAS at COC, or already have sent them your TEAS score from previous applications, then the “invitation” to take the TEAS does not apply to you. It’s more of an informative email stating that our application processed through and they have everything they need. I’m sure it’s just a way for them to clear out applications and sort them out from who already has their TEAS on file, and who needs to send them or still take them.

College of the Canyons (COC) ADN Fall 2021
Where did you guys take your TEAS if you don’t mind me asking? I took mine at COC back in 2019 so they already have it on file (which is why I don’t need to wait for them to request my TEAS score. So this is why I got email stating I’m eligible. I’m assuming people who have taken their TEAS at COC (or have already sent them their scores from previous applications) have revived the same email I did. Hope this makes sense.

Same here! Well third if you count last years application process, but because of COVID it was canceled :/. I’m applying for the LVN-RN bridge program and also leaning towards random selection pool since my points are also average.

Same. Good to know though that we are eligible for selection ??. I know most are still waiting to be invited to take their TEAS, therefor they can’t really give us any info until everyone has completed the TEAS and then they are able to go from there on selecting students. Hoping this time around I get in. Fingers crossed ??
