  1. I’d be happy to talk to you.
  2. There are two groups. One is called Pace ABSN Spring 2022. I have been accepted into this group. The other is called ABSN Spring 2022 Closed Group, and that acceptance is “Pending.”
  3. No I have not been accepted and I believe I requested to join over a week ago, was rejected, and then requested to join again yesterday. My initials are MG. thanks!
  4. Yes! That’s why I joined FB just to see the group. I was accepted in September.
  5. I don't know if people are still reading the responses to this post, but I was accepted and I am trying to join the FB group. I have never had facebook before (or any other social media for that matter - I truly am an old soul). And so I had to make up a FB account just to join this group. The problem is... I was rejected from joining the group. Maybe the moderator looked and saw I literally have 0 facebook friends and figured this was some dummy account or someone who should not be joining the closed group, but that is only because I created this FB account just to join the group and see what people are saying and ask questions. I am hoping that the moderator sees this and allows me entry. My FB photo is one with the words "We're all in this together" in it neon lights. Happy Holidays!
  6. Congrats to all those who made it. I don't have FB. If there is another group that deeclops, please post the link here.
  7. I don't have FB
  8. I was a double major - English and Public Policy
  9. My initial undergraduate GPA was a 3.78, but that included none of the prerequisites. When I took the prerequisites, that GPA was a 4.0.
  10. marshmelo, I sent in my application on 8/29. I actually had everything ready way before that but procrastinated on writing the essay for some stupid reason. KayNei, I do feel like a weight has been lifted. Actually, I was so nervous about having to continue to apply to these programs and take more prerequisites that I spent all day sitting by a marina/beach to realx myself. I stayed until 8PM!!! I brought a book with me but every time I picked it up to read it, I couldn't focus. And then I came home, talked to my parents, and then went online and saw the great news! There are no further requirements, but they give you an overwhelming list of Next Steps that includes sending your official transcripts, getting them your COVID vaccine info, health insurance info, setting up your Pace email and student account... even information on how to get a parking pass! I won't even be parking there until January! QKC, I received an email telling me that my application had been reviewed, and that I should look in my application for the decision. I actually thought this sounded ominous because I figured if I made the program, they would just send an email that tells me so rather than have me go into my application to learn this. But I logged online to the application and saw the acceptance letter.
  11. My acceptance letter was sent to me tonight. I am so happy. I applied to another school, they never opened my application, I was told misinformation from the admissions counselor, and felt the experience was rude. At Pace. the admissions counselor made the difference. He is really friendly and helpful. The application process is easy to navigate. It feels they are very transparent at Pace. They immediately ask for a $300 deposit. It was the happiest $300 I ever spent. For all those others who make it who post here, I look forward to meeting you. For those who do not hear the response they are hoping to hear, do not give up. We all end up at the right schools for us. I really believe that.
  12. I am having difficulty locating the list of prerequisites and application deadline information for Spring 22. Can someone please post a link? I know it must be right under my nose!
  13. If it is true that even those who have already been accepted now have a status of "Application Started," then the change does not mean anything. They did not review all the applications, and perhaps by changing the status they are hoping to better conceal this?
  14. Here's hoping the people who are getting contacted late get in! I am super surprised that they have not filled their slots though. Maybe some people applied, interviewed, got accepted, and then realized they could not swing it financially to forfeit any sort of employment for 15 months? Or maybe they are building their wait list? One thing we do know for sure is that they conducted many interviews in the Spring. What would be awesome is if they decided they could expand the number of people they can accept into the program! Either way, best of luck to those interviewing!
  15. I have no evidence to support this, but I would imagine that what happened is that they accepted their 90 applicants, and that when they say we could hear by the end of August, that means they will fill in the gaps with the people who don't accept their slots for whatever reason. It is not in their best interest to delay having the slots filled. I only applied to Downstate, but it is reasonable to assume that many people applied to more than one school, and the longer they wait, the greater the possibility that people are making acceptances to other schools. They also don't want to be left with the leftovers who still haven't been accepted at the tail end. For lizz87 who suggested they must be overwhelmed going over applications, this cannot be the case because they made acceptances before reviewing all the applications. This much I know is true from the information sessions. My application status never even changed - I know they haven't looked at mine, yet I know from this board that they have made many acceptances. They do not have to review all the applications to gather a strong cohort.
  16. Hey all, Just want to say that I feel for all the people who haven't heard anything. I guess there is still a chance we will here something, right? I applied with a TEAS score in the 90s (and with 100s on two sections), a 4.0 science GPA, and a 3.92 overall GPA. I have volunteer experience in a doctor's office. I even have a Master's Degree. The one thing is that I applied late (but still before the applications were due). I would like to think the application pool was just very exceptional. My status still says "File Forwarded to Program for Review." But I think that means it was never looked at... because I believe when they view your application, the status changes. Best of luck to everyone out there - I've been lurking for months now reading everyone's messages. And congratulations to the ones who got into the program!
  17. Hi All, I applied on 4/2, and my status says "Office of Student Admissions Evaluator Review." I have been reading the comments here and other people have been saying their status has been one of many things (many say their status is "Under Review" but none of have said "Office of Student Admissions Evaluator Review." Anyone know what this means? I am wondering if it is my status because I just applied three days ago, and maybe this is what they put as the status for a freshly filed application? Anyone know how much it is held against someone if they apply as late as the final date? My pre-req GPA is 3.92, science GPA is 4.0, and I got 100s on both the Reading and Math sections of the TEAS, with an 83 on Science. I am really hoping to go to Downstate. It's my number one choice. Thanks all for reading!
