My background check was submitted 6/25 and that still isn’t approved. I submitted some documents yesterday but I’m sure that’s going to take time. They took a long time approving my documents, but so quick to deny them LOL

Hello! For those paying out of pocket, where is the best place to get the Health Record Signed? Everything I see for a visit without insurance is over $80. For one signature that seems a bit much ?

I’m not sure. When accepting the seat it does say that you must remain in that option through program completion. Call the number in your acceptance email and ask them. They were really helpful with my questions. I applied to both programs 2 days apart and received acceptance to both today. Continue checking your email, it should pop up soon!

I just spoke with them and they said our scheduling will be discussed at the orientation. We will work with our advisor and select the classes.

I spoke with the Medical Campus and they confirmed that the deadline you see in your acceptance email is to accept your seat and pay the $100 fee. You must accept your seat by that date, or you forfeit your acceptance. He mentioned that the background screening, health records, vaccines, and CPR certification is due 2 days before orientation. I am planning to submit my documents by the June 30 deadline posted on the admission website they provided. I'm just so relieved now that we have some time to do all the tasks.

You'd have to get certified again. Mine is also expired, so I'm searching for courses. Might do an online one, I hope it's not a problem.

Congrats! YES! I agree. I have so many questions and it's such little time to decide. I might go with the Generic option, but I really hope I can choose my schedule or change campus.

Your acceptance letter should say the deadline.

I also applied to the Accelerated program, I was wondering if I can wait until I hear back from them before accepting my seat in the Generic FT.

I just received my acceptance! I have a 3.12 GPA and 86.7 TEAS. I applied a week ago.

Congratulations to those who received their acceptance! ? To those that have been accepted, what are the tasks on complio that need to be done? I haven’t been accepted yet, but would like to be ready for when I (hopefully) do get accepted. My CPR certification already expired so I need to get certified. I was certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. Is all that necessary? Is there a specific certification they’re asking for? Whats the best place to get certified? I received mine from an HSC course I did at MDC so don’t know where to go. I see different prices everywhere Thanks for your help :)

Yeah, I spoke with someone from MDC and was told that right before we complete the ASN program, we are able to apply for the RN-BSN program. They informed me that we would be provisionally admitted pending the completion of the ASN degree and our nursing license. I just forgot to ask her if we get a semester break during our time in the program.

Yeah, I can see that now. FIU programs (Accelerated and Generic) are both the quickest nursing programs I’ve seen. Completed in only 3-5 semesters. Like you said, very competitive — per their website, they only admit 60(accelerated)-100(generic) students annually. I looked into it, but I don’t have the perfect grades to even bother trying. I did consider NOVAs Accelerated program, but then I learned it’s located in Fort Myers. A shame because their program is 4 semesters long. Their regular Entry to BSN is 7 semesters, like MDCs if we include the time for both ASN and RN-BSN program. To save money and time commuting, I’m hoping to be accepted into MDCs program. Do you know if MDCs Generic FT option has a semester break in their course sequence?

Hi!! Congratulations on your acceptance! I finished my HSC course this Spring, and applied to both the Accelerated and Generic FT program just a few days ago. I think I might prefer the generic program because the first semester of the Accelerated program is kinda intimidating. When did you apply? My GPA is on the lower 3.0 scale and I got a 86.7% on by TEAS.

I was wondering why only students that hold a Bachelors can apply for the accelerated program. There’s no difference in courses for both programs, just that the course sequence is much more intense. I applied for both Generic FT and Accelerated program, hoping that I’ll get accepted to one of them. Do any of you know anyone that’s completed the Accelerated program/or is enrolled currently? That first semester looks crazy.

I would just reapply for Spring ‘22 if I don’t get accepted for Fall, but I would probably apply for both Accelerated and Generic FT program.

Hello all! I am still waiting on my TEAS score to be processed so that I can apply to the Nursing Generic FT program. Does anyone have an idea of what the schedule would be like for Generic FT? Also, I was reading through the thread and saw that once accepted you have to use Complio to submit all your docs, and CPR certification. My CPR certification expired, so I have to get certified again before the program starts? Thanks!
