  1. I don't disagree with you for a seasoned nurse. For a newbie learning how to take care of a patient who has never worked in a healthcare setting its a nice way to see "how the dots connect". Outside of that it takes you away from your patient.
  2. They are stupid but it is because of the experiences we have with them depends on the professor. For example, my first semester we had a pre and post conference, we did a little research and really thought about how we were caring for our patients. This semester my blabber mouth of a prof who LOVES to shoot down whatever nursing dx, interventions and rationales. Spends most of the night talking about her personal life. There isn't a pre or post conference instead she loves to point our how she has written the lecture for this, taught these many people, has been advocating for that. What's worse is when she hands them back its nothing scribbles which is her handwriting. This semester v.s last semester I HATE THEM but why? Its the professor.
  3. I was in the process of making a break room but like you was having issues with it. I'll see you guys on. FB
  4. Oo cool thank you!! I think I'll go the break room option on this site.
  5. I am in like sin! Night program in the housseeeee! If anyone wants to keep in touch please let me know I'd love to connect with you. Steph
  6. You and me are in the same boat LOL. Constantly refreshing emails and looking at our phone waiting for any response ?.
  7. I am putting all my eggs in Cochran because I really need a night program so I am hoping sooo badly.
  8. ??I am crossing my fingers you and I end up together because I feel like with company it will be less miserable. Check out NursingInTheMaking from Kristine, she has a insta and a esty shop where I got study guides already that might help when we are in the program.
  9. I def will. Remind me, are you going for evening?
  10. Thanks for the update! I emailed her yesterday and she didn't respond I was wonder what was happening. Stephanie
  11. That I didn't ask. I was just thrilled to be done LOL. I assumed it was Aug like traditional colleges.
  12. Thank you! I hope soo too! I bombed the writing which seemed to be the issue last time but did 90 on the science. Haneen said they focus more on the science so I was happy to hear that.
  13. Hallo, so check it out. Haneen confirmed that the way they do the Kaplan has changed. Instead of the 2 times and you are out for good, they are doing two times within the application process and if not then you can resubmit the following year. They are allow working on adding interviews to the process so that they don't rely so heavily on the Kaplan. Now me, I sat down with her and reviewed my file and realized that I initially got a 69 and not a 71. This time around I got a 75 to which she said I should be fine because they have added more spots to the day and night programs. They are testing for the remainder of the week and I think we should hear something by mid June.
  14. Honestly I dunno. I wish I wasn't re-testing but the reality is I am and at this point I am over this process. Whatever happens, happens; I just want to move on regardless of the decision. Best of luck to all.
  15. I am honestly confused by their entire process. The last I heard from Haneen was in April she said that people that tested in the months of Jan-March were eligible to re-test. When I received the email they neither confirmed nor denied that my score was sufficient enough but did say they'll to see a 70 or better. My re-test is on Monday, May 17th and I am not sure how acceptances and or denials can be going out if people are still testing. Unless the people being tested now are for the next cycle but again she never confirmed whether or not my first exam was a fail.
  16. You know whats strange they recently reached out and said they were retesting people from Jan, Feb and March. I took my test in Feb so I am retesting on the 17th, I wonder who else is going through this.
  17. Yes, I took the Kaplan through Cochran didn't submit to Monte. I may want to consider that.
  18. I haven't. I am seeking out night programs specifically. I haven't come across one that requires the TEAS.
  19. No test. No response. They said mid-May, the suspense is killing me. I just want to know either way.
  20. She told me the same, mid May but I am still so anxious. Given that I need a night program I am limited in programs. In Cochran they weigh the score with your GPA. Not sure how your other program are doing it. Best of luck.
  21. Honestly I've never taken the TEAS but what the proctor told us us that the Kaplan is a tad easier. I am applying for the night and I constantly checking my email for a denial or acceptance. -Steph
  22. You're welcome. The math portion of that book really helped. The A&P portion was really good too, in my opinion for the reading and writing just look elsewhere. Good luck!
  23. Hey! I bought KNAT Nursing Admission Test smart edition book which didn't really help in terms of reading or writing. Due to this I scored lower on the writing. The reading and writing is that similar to the SAT/ACT formating. Had there been any guidance before hand I would have studied that. The math is basic and a calculator is provided. Make sure you time yourself since I felt like I didn't have enough time with the math. The science is straight up anatomy and psychology. Some people say to know your cranial nerves or urinary system etc. I'll have you know not one question was asked on my test in regards to the brain or urinary system soo..
  24. I created this community for those whom applied to this program and want to share their experiences or may want to connect with others. I am nervous and anxious to find out whether or not I am accepted. Please share and be well.
