  1. Don’t be !! It might’ve just get lost (those things happend you know ? ) but I agree with domdom56 though. Best way to email them and address that directly. Don’t give up just yet!!
  2. My application status also says “submitted” but I did get the letter. Did you try to check your spam folder??
  3. Agreed!! The good news is that student must accept seats within 2 weeks and pay deposit for them so the chances are the students will hear within that time. Also, UIC got better this year with sending those letters out a week earlier than last year. Best of luck and I hope you’ll hear from UIC very soon ☺️
  4. I would absolutely accept both. You always can follow up with an email to NIU later on explaining your situation but it’s a very common practice that students need to do while waiting to hear from all of the programs they applied to.
  5. Don’t get discouraged as not always ppl accept their offer!! Fingers crossed you guys get in ????
  6. Yay! I’m so excited! Btw here’s a group I started for the class 2023! It’ll be a place where we can interact, help and motivate one another ❤️ https://www.facebook.com/groups/790579041602040/permalink/790579048268706/
  7. Guys one have you gotten response emails from UIC?! I just received it and I got in to Chicago Campus! Congrats to all admitted !
  8. Don’t get discouraged!! This year is somewhat a little bit different and I feel like more people were taking a gap year. Whether we get in or not it does not define you and you can still manage to pursue your dream if you really want it. How many nursing programs did you apply to? (If you don’t mind me asking?) some of the schools are still taking applications btw so maybe try that?
  9. I’m not sure about UIC particularly, but other universities send both acceptance and rejection letters. I really do wish we all get in and meet soon (either via zoom or in person) as 2023 BSN class ??
  10. Please keep us posted!! So far they’ve been send letters around mid April. Last year it was either the 17th or 19th.
  11. Congratulations! I got 2 acceptance letters so far from Dominican and Layola while I’ m still waiting for the complete evaluation of my schoolwork I did oversees for JHU and NU (because they need all the info in a world from high school etc) UIC does indeed drag their admission decisions LOL. I have to confirm my seat for 2 of my programs within 15 days while I still probably won’t know whether I got in to UIC or not ? I’m hoping the UIC admissions office won’t let us wait until the end of April but I guess we will see ?
  12. I only applied to 2 nursing programs - UIC and Dominican University, however, I also applied to several Neuroscience programs including NW, JHU and Michigan and biochemistry program at Layola. I know it may seem strange that they’re all different but I’m waiting for my dream universities respond first ( NW and JHU) and then I’ll see what to do next ? how about you?
  13. I did fill the form for the scholarships as well but I’m really looking forward to the merit transfer scholarship / PTK member scholarship. I’m not sure if the scholarship would transfer from one campus to another, but you should certainly reach out to the admission’s office and finances to find that out!
  14. Yay!! Im so glad to hear that most ppl had a positive experience with their interviews! We’re so close now!
  15. I am very happy after all. I focused more on being myself since they are looking for a certain characters. It does suck to wait all this time just to know whether we’re in or out, but I’m pretty optimistic at this point ( and hopeful ?).
  16. I feel like my group overall did pretty well. I expected to feel more nervous but surprisingly I wasn’t at all (well maybe a bit haha)
  17. Good luck everyone !!
  18. Congrats ! Hope we all get in ??
  19. Also... does anyone know how those groups will work?? Are we all going to see each other and be asked the same questions one at the time ? Or do they split us into meeting groups?? I have no idea what to expect
  20. I only got confirmation that with a chosen date, but I copied that link separately for easy access. Congratulations on your acceptance btw!! I’m still waiting to hear from JKC and few programs I applied to. It’s so crazy you already got some responses back ?. As far as the question goes, we can just throw in some general questions but you’ll never know what you get. I think starting with why you want to be a nurse and/ or on that particular program is a good start. Plus probably what are your goals and one of the STAR questions (those are behavioral questions you need to be able to solve). Hope it helps ☺️
  21. Yes!! Last year it was 270 and only about 90 got in ? this year is less interviews and less spots (but I don’t have the exact figure ) Good luck!! We can do this ?
  22. Aww thank you!! Well I wish, I already had a baby by now LOL ? I just want to focus on the interview process ? I’m super excited but also crazy nervous because this is the last factor that can determine whether or not we are admitted !! Good luck to everyone who got the invites !
  23. Yay!! I got mine too!! Signed up for Wednesday pm, but I’m super nervous because I’m 2 days away from my due date (I know hahahah) and in case baby was late then I don’t know if I can reschedule.
  24. OMG I really do hope so! That’s great !
